SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Thames County, containing by admeasurement 189 acres 2 roods, more or less, and being Section 7, Block XIV, Whitianga Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 23/63, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (South Auckland plan S.O. 21902.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of March, 1950.

Lands Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.


SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing 920 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks V and VI, Arawata Survey District, and being Lake Ellery. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/63E, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Also all that area containing 980 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks VI and VII, Abbey Rocks Survey District, and being Lake Paringa.

Also all that area containing 90 acres, more or less, situated in Block VI, Abbey Rocks Survey District, and being Lake Rasselas.

Also all that area containing 230 acres, more or less, situated in Block VIII, Abbey Rocks Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of Block VIII, Abbey Rocks Survey District, distant 1220 links due south from the south-eastern side of the Main South Road and proceeding generally in a south-westerly direction along a line parallel to and distant 1000 links from the south-eastern side of the said Main South Road to a point 1000 links north-east from the north-eastern boundary of Reserve 234, Block VIII, Abbey Rocks Survey District; thence by lines running parallel to the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Reserve 234, and distant therefrom 1000 links to a point 1000 links east of the right bank of the Paringa River; thence generally in a southerly direction by a line parallel to and 1000 links distant from the right bank of the Paringa River to its intersection with the right bank of a creek flowing into the Paringa River at a point opposite Trig. station K.O., thence generally in a westerly direction along the said bank of that creek to the right bank of the Paringa River; thence generally in a northerly direction along that bank to the southernmost corner of the road reserve fronting Reserve 234, Block VIII, Abbey Rocks Survey District; thence by the abutment of that road reserve and the south-eastern boundary of the said Reserve 234, and by the north-eastern boundary of the said Reserve 234 and that boundary produced to the north-eastern side of the public road fronting the northern boundary of the said Reserve 234; thence generally in in a westerly direction along the northern side of that road to its intersection with the Main South Road; thence generally in a north-easterly direction along the south-eastern side of the said Main South Road to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Block VIII, Abbey Rocks Survey District; thence due south along that boundary for 1220 links to the point of commencement, excluding therefrom all roads.

Also all that area containing 1,450 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XIV and XV, Karangarua Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the right bank of Architect Creek with the south boundary of Block XI, Karangarua Survey District, and proceeding generally in a southerly, westerly, and northerly direction along the right bank of the said Architect Creek, the Copland River, and the Karangarua River to the southern boundary of Block X, Karangarua Survey District; thence due east along that boundary and the southern boundary of Block XI, Karangarua Survey District, to the point of commencement.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/63F, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Also all that area containing 217 acres 3 roods 13 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1221 (formerly part of Section 2574 and Crown land (creeks)) situated in Block IX, Karangarua Survey District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/63G, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of March, 1950.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

All that area in the Sounds County, containing by admeasurement 1,589 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office, at Nelson, under No. 3893, and being part of Rangitoto 4B, situated in Blocks XI and XII, D’Urville Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/538A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT

All that area containing by admeasurement 737 acres, more or less, being Section 128 and part Section 139, Block XIV, Gore Survey District.

Also Sections 45 and 46, Queen Charlotte Sound Registration District, situated in Block XIV, Gore Survey District, containing a total area of 234 acres, more or less.

Declaring Certain Crown Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section five of the Maori Purposes Act, 1939, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 126 acres 3 roods 35 perches, more or less, being Allotment 226, Parish of Omaru, and situated in Block V, Matakahe Survey District. (Plan S.O. 34223.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of March, 1950.
