NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME
KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Hamilton) that I, IVAN ROBERT KUNAC, of Rotorua, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Taxi-proprietor, now lately called IVAN ROBERT SHARP, do hereby absolutely renounce and abandon the use of my former surname of KUNAC, and in lieu thereof do assume and adopt the surname of SHARP so that I may henceforth be called and known not by my former surname of KUNAC but by my assumed surname of SHARP, and for the purpose of evidencing such change I hereby declare that I shall at all times henceforth in all actions and proceedings, dealings and transactions, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said surname of SHARP in lieu of my former surname of KUNAC, and I hereby expressly authorize and request all persons at all times henceforth to designate and address me by my said assumed surname of SHARP accordingly.
In witness whereof these presents have been executed this 1st day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifty (1950).

MATAMATA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Matamata Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £29,000, authorized to be raised by the Matamata Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for roading and stormwater drainage, the said Matamata Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two and two-thirds pence (2⅔d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Matamata; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership known as “Moffatt and Home” formerly subsisting between Francis Keith Laird Moffatt and Myra Huia Home, of Timaru, Accountants, was dissolved as from 1st October, 1949.
Miss M. H. Home will continue to practice at Bank of Australasia Chambers, Beswick Street, Timaru.
Mr. F. K. L. Moffatt will continue to practice at Colonial Mutual Life Building, Strathallan Street, Timaru.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Plant Supplementary Loan, 1949, £1,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £1,000, to be known as “Plant Supplementary Loan, 1949, £1,000,” to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purposes for which the Plant Loan, 1947, £10,000, was raised—namely, the purchasing of road machinery—the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Hutt County Council held at Wellington on the 15th day of March, 1950.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Wellington City Sewerage Loan 1937 of £26,100
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 15th day of March, 1950:—
“ In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and its Amendments the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ ‘ That for the purpose of providing the interest repayment of principal and other charges on a loan of twenty-six thousand one hundred pounds (£26,100) being portion of the Wellington City Sewerage Loan 1937 of £200,000 authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out alterations and improvements to the sewerage system the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourteen eight-hundredths of a penny (¹⁴⁄₈₀₀d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Wellington and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.’ ”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Upper Hutt require to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public work—namely, pleasure-grounds.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land is open to inspection by all persons without fee during office hours at the office of the Upper Hutt Borough Council, Upper Hutt.
All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such public work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Upper Hutt Borough Council, Upper Hutt.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing thirty decimal three perches (30·3 perches), more or less, situate in the Borough of Upper Hutt, being part Section 126, and being part of Lots 41 and 42 on Deposited Plan No. 9304, and being also the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 539, folio 211 (Wellington Registry).
