NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the office of Avon Meta Industries, Ltd., 21 Dundas Street, Christchurch, on Wednesday, 12th April, 1950, at 4.30 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

THE EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND
Notice of Intention to Take Land
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for a public school, the following additional land—namely, all that piece of land containing two acres two roods twenty decimal eight perches (2 acres 2 roods 20·8 perches), more or less, being portion of Allotment 33 of Suburban Section 1 of the Parish of Puni.
A plan of the land is deposited at the Post-office at Patumahoe, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office, Wellesley Street East, Auckland.

THE CENTRAL WAIKATO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Special Loan 1949, £60,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Central Waikato Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on the Central Waikato Electric-power Board’s Special Loan 1949, £60,000, authorized to be raised by the Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, for the purpose of further reticulation work within the Central Waikato Electric-power District, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal 0·233 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value), on all rateable property in the Central Waikato Electric-power District, as the same is defined by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 27th day of July, 1939, at page 2042, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly convened meeting of the Central Waikato Electric-power Board held on the 15th day of March, 1950.

ELLERSLIE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Rest Room Loan, 1949
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Ellerslie Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Ellerslie Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring land and providing thereon public sanitary conveniences within the Ellerslie Borough, the said Ellerslie Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one seven six pence (·176d.) in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the capital value, of all rateable property in the Ellerslie Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such special loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Council held in the Council Chambers, Ellerslie, on the 14th day of February, 1950, and confirmed on the 14th day of March, 1950.
