Section 2, 2A Section 1, again 2A Section 2, 2B Section 1, 2C
and 2D Section 1C Blocks to and along the northern boundary
of Ohura South No. M 3A Section 1 Block, to and along the northern
boundaries of Ohura South Nos. M 3A 2 Sections A 1, M 3A 2 Part
Section B, M 3A 2 Section C 1, and M 3E Section 2 Blocks, along
the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 6, Block XIV,
Tuhua Survey District, along the south-eastern boundaries of
Parts of Section 3, Section 10, and again Part Section 3, all of the
said Block XIV, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary
of Section 4, Block XIV aforesaid ; then along a right line across
a public road to and along the south-eastern boundary of the said
Section 4, along the northern boundary of the Borough of
Taumarunui as described in New Zealand Gazette, No. 79, of the
25th day of August, 1910, page 3231, to the south-eastern corner
of Section 25, Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District ; then northerly
generally along the south-western and north-western boundaries
of the aforesaid Section 25 to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of Section 32 of the said Block XIII ; then along a
right line across Lairdvale Road to and along the south-western
and western boundaries of Section 32 aforesaid, to and along the
southern boundary of Section 3, of the said Block XIII, and along
a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across
the Taumarunui-Ongarue Main Highway to its western side ;
then along the western side of the said highway to and along
the north-western boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered
32414, deposited in the Auckland Land Registry Office, being part
of Section 65, Block XIII, aforesaid, to its westernmost corner ;
then westerly generally along a right line running to the north-
eastern corner of Ohura South No. N 2 Section C 1 Block, in Block II,
Piopiotea West Survey District to the middle of the aforesaid
Ongarue River ; then northerly generally along the western
boundary of the aforesaid Taumarunui County to and along the
southern and eastern boundaries of the Waimiha Riding as herein-
before described to the point of commencement.
PUNGAPUNGA RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point in the middle of the mouth of the
Oruapuroto Stream on the shores of Lake Taupo and running
southerly and westerly generally along the boundary of the
Taumarunui County as described in New Zealand Gazette, No. 20,
of the 20th day of March, 1930, page 784, to the boundary of the
Taumarunui Borough ; then northerly and westerly generally
along the north-eastern boundary of the Taumarunui Borough as
described in New Zealand Gazette, No. 79, of the 25th day of August,
1910, page 3231 and the southern boundary of the Taringamotu
Riding to the point of commencement.
OTUNUI RIDING
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line
commencing at a point in the middle of the Ongarue River in line
with the northern boundary of Section 4B, Block II, Rangi Survey
District ; then down the middle of the said river to a point in
line with the production of the western boundary Lot 1 on plan
numbered 4512, deposited in the Office of the District Land Registrar
at New Plymouth ; then southerly by a right line to and along
the western boundaries of the said Lot 1, Lot 36 (Cross Street),
and Lot 21 to the south-western corner of the said Lot 21, all on the
aforementioned plan ; then easterly along the southern boundaries
of Lots 21, 22, and Part Lot 23 to the north-western corner of Ohura
South N 2E 3G 2B Block ; then southerly along the western boun-
dary of the said block to and across the Ahititi-Taumarunui State
Highway ; then generally easterly and northerly along the southern
and eastern boundaries of the said State highway to the middle
of the Ongarue River ; then down the middle of the Ongarue
and Wanganui Rivers to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of Subdivision 3 of Koiro Block ; then to and along
that boundary and the south-western boundaries of Subdivisions 4
and 5, Koiro Block, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned
subdivision ; then northerly along the western boundary of the
said Subdivision 5 to its north-western corner ; then generally easterly
and northerly along the northern boundaries of said Subdivision 5 and
Subdivision 4 to the western boundary of Section 1, Block III, Heao
Survey District ; then along the western boundary of said Section 1,
to a point in line with the southern boundary of Part K No. 1,
Section 2C No. 4, Ohura South Block ; then to and along that
boundary and northerly along the western boundary of the said
block and its production to the middle of the Ohura River ; then
up the middle of the Ohura River to a point in line with the western
boundary of Section 7, Block XI, Ohura Survey District ; then
to and along that boundary and the western and northern boundaries
generally of Sections 7, 13, and 8 to Mona Trig. Station ; then
northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries
of Section 9, Block XI, Ohura Survey District to the western boun-
dary of Lot 3 of Section 10, Block XI, Ohura Survey District (D.P.
4065) ; then generally north-easterly along the north-western
boundary of the said Lot 3 to the western boundary of Section 1,
Block XII, Ohura Survey District ; then north-westerly to the
westernmost corner of said Section 1 ; then north-easterly and
northerly along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of Sections
3 and 1, Block VIII, Ohura Survey District, to the Ararimu Road ;
then northerly across that road and westerly along its northern
side to the western boundary of Section 12, Block VIII, Ohura
Survey District ; then northerly along the western boundaries
of Sections 12, Block VIII and 8, Block IV, Ohura Survey District,
to Puketawai Trig. Station ; then easterly along the northern
boundaries generally of Section 8 aforesaid, Sections 14 and 13,
Block VIII, Ohura Survey District, Sections 8, 7, and 6, Block III,
Rangi Survey District, to the western boundary of Section 4A,
Block II, Rangi Survey District ; then by a right line to the
north-west corner of Section 4B, Block II aforesaid ; then along
the northern boundary of Section 4B and its production to the middle
of the Ongarue River, the place of commencement.
KIRIKAU RIDING
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line
commencing at a point in the middle of the Wanganui River in line
with the western boundary of Section 4 (Scenic Reserve), Block III,
Hunua Survey District ; and proceeding southerly to and along that
boundary ; then south-easterly along the south-western boundaries
of Sections 4 and 2, Block III, Hunua Survey District, to the south-
ermost corner of the last-mentioned section ; then by a right
line to the easternmost corner of Section 9, Block III, Hunua Survey
District ; then along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 2
and 6, Block VII, and Sections 1 and 2, Block VIII, Hunua Survey
District to the northern side of Pokatea-Kokokanui Road ; then
along that side and the northern boundary of Section 8, Block VIII,
Hunua Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Section 8,
aforesaid ; then southerly and westerly generally along the south-
eastern and southern boundaries of the said Section 8 to the southern
side of Pokatea-Kokokanui Road ; then south-westerly generally
along that side to the western boundary of Section 1, Block II,
Kaitieke Survey District ; then along the western boundary of
that section, and the northern boundaries of Sections 6 and 1,
Block I, Kaitieke Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of
Section 2, Block VIII, Retaruke Survey District ; then generally
in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundary of
said Section 2 to the northern side of the Kokakoriki Road ; then
by a right line on a bearing of 217° 54' to the middle of the Kokako-
riki Road ; then in a southerly direction along the middle of that
road and the Te Rata Road to a point due east of the northernmost
corner of Section 1, Block XI, Retaruke Survey District ; then
westerly to that corner and along the north-western boundary of
said Section 1 to the easternmost corner of Section 4, Block VII,
Retaruke Survey District ; then along the southern boundary
of Section 4, aforesaid, to the middle of Waipakihi Stream ; then
down the middle of that stream to the Wanganui River ; then
up the middle of the Wanganui River to the point of commencement.
TUHUA RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, situated in
the County of Taumarunui, bounded by a line commencing at a
point in the middle of the Ongarue River on a right line running
between the north-eastern corner of Ohura South No. N 2 Section
C 1 Block and the westernmost corner of Lot 1, as shown on the
plan numbered 32414, deposited in the Office of the District Land
Registrar at Auckland, being part of Section 65, Block XIII, Tuhua
Survey District ; then easterly and southerly generally along the
said right line to and along the north-western boundary of the said
Lot 1, along the western side of the Taumarunui-Ongarue Main
Highway to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 3
of the said Block XIII ; then along a right line across the aforesaid
highway to and along the southern boundary of Section 3 aforesaid,
along the western and south-western boundaries of Section 32, Block
XIII, aforesaid, and along a right line being the last-mentioned
boundary produced across Lairdvale Road to its south-eastern side ;
then along the south-eastern side of the said road to and along
the south-western boundary of Section 25, Block XIII, aforesaid, to
the boundary of the Taumarunui Borough as described in New
Zealand Gazette, No. 79, of the 25th day of August, 1910, page 3231 ;
then westerly generally along the aforesaid borough boundary and
along a right line running due west to the middle of the Ongarue
River aforesaid ; then northerly up the middle of the said river
to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District situated in
the County of Taumarunui, bounded by a line commencing at a
point in the middle of the Ongarue River on the southern side of the
Ahititi-Taumarunui State Highway adjacent to the Ongarue Bridge ;
then generally southerly and westerly by the eastern and southern
sides of the aforementioned State highway to a point in line with
the western boundary of Ohura South N 2E 3G 2B Block ; then
northerly to and along the western boundary of the aforementioned
Block to the southern boundary of Lot 23 on plan numbered 4512,
deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at New
Plymouth ; then westerly along the southern boundaries of Part
Lot 23 and Lots 22 and 21 to the south-western corner of Lot 21,
all on the aforementioned plan ; then northerly along the western
boundaries of Lot 21, Lot 36 (Cross Street), and Lot 1 on the afore-
mentioned plan ; then northerly by a right line in production
of western boundary of the said Lot 1 to a point in the centre of the
Ongarue River ; then down the middle of the said river to the
point of commencement.

(1) The resolution by way of Special Order of which a copy is
attached was passed by the Taumarunui County Council at a special
meeting called for the purpose held at the County Office, Marae
Street, Taumarunui, on Thursday, the 21st day of April, 1949.
(2) The time and place of the subsequent meeting at which the
Special Order would be confirmed was advertised in the Taumarunui
Press on 27th April, 3rd, 9th, and 16th May, 1949.
(3) The resolution was confirmed at the ordinary meeting of
the council held on Thursday, the 19th day of May, 1949.

accordance with section 100 of the Counties Act, 1920.
