FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), authorized to be raised by Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting six (6) workers dwellings, the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twenty-eighth of a penny (¹⁄₂₈d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value), of all rateable property of the County of Franklin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution making special rate was passed at a meeting of the council held on the 27th day of February, 1950.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes to execute a certain public work—to wit, altering the course of a road—for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waikato County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, sections 22 and 23. The plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Huntly Borough Council, Huntly. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waikato County Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME
I, ALFRED DEXTER, of Auckland, Watchmaker, now lately called ALFRED DEUTSCH, hereby give notice that I have, on behalf of myself and my wife and my children and remoter issue, by deed-poll bearing date the 28th day of February, 1950, and enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court at Auckland, under No. M. 83/50, absolutely renounced and abandoned the use of my former surname of DEUTSCH and in lieu thereof have assumed and adopted the surname of DEXTER, so that I and my wife and my children and remoter issue shall henceforth be called and known, not by my former surname of DEUTSCH, but by my assumed surname of DEXTER, and I hereby expressly authorize and request all persons at all times henceforth to designate and address me by my assumed name of DEXTER accordingly.
