Notice of Adoption Under Part IX of the Maori Land Act, 1931

Office of the Maori Land Court, Tairawhiti District, Gisborne, 2nd March, 1950.

IT is hereby notified that the order of adoption as set out in the Schedule hereunder has been made by the Maori Land Court under the provisions of the Maori Land Act, 1931.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 19th day of April, 1940, and published in Gazette No. 36 of the 24th day of April, 1940, at page 772, whereby the provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, were applied to, inter alia, the said land, and such land is hereby excluded from the Korohe Development Scheme.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land in the Aotea Maori Land Court District, containing 2 roods, more or less, called or known as Hautu 1B 8A 2 (part), and situated in Block XI, Puketi Survey District.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto a certain notice dated 11th day of August, 1931, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 61 of the 20th day of August, 1931, at page 2326, whereby the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929 (now Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936) were applied to, inter alia, the said land.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Ikaroa Maori Land Court District containing 1 rood called or known as Omahu 2N, Lot 1, and situated in Heretaunga Survey District.

Revoking a Notice Declaring Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, the notice issued by the Board of Maori Affairs on the 25th day of October, 1949, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 62 of the 27th day of October, 1949, at page 2506, declaring the land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, is hereby revoked.

Notice as to Statutory Closing-days Under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22

WHEREAS the Mayors or Chairmen, as the case may be, of the local authorities of the respective separate districts mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto have duly notified the Minister of Labour that the days decided on as the statutory closing-days in their respective districts, pursuant to the provisions of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, are the days set opposite their respective names in the second column of the said Schedule :

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by the said Act, the Minister of Labour doth hereby appoint that the said respective days shall be the statutory closing-days for shops in the said respective districts on and from the 13th day of March, 1950.
