Notice as to Statutory Closing-days Under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22

WHEREAS the local authorities of the respective separate districts mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto have failed to decide what working-day in the week shall be the statutory closing-day for shops in their respective districts:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by section 18 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, the Minister of Labour doth hereby appoint as the statutory closing-day for shops in each such district on and from the 13th day of March, 1950, the respective working-days set opposite their respective names in the second column of the Schedule hereto.

Land in the Gisborne Land District Acquired for a Provisional State Forest

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921–22, for the purposes of a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, Wairoa County, containing by admeasurement 3,038 acres 2 roods 21 perches, more or less, being Sections 3 and 9B, Block IX, and Section 1 and part of Sections 2, 4, 5, and 14, Block XIII, Taramarama Survey District, being all the land comprised and described in certificates of title, Vol. 80, folios 75 and 76 and Vol. 90, folio 108, and part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 98, folio 152 (Gisborne Land Registry). As the same is delineated on plan No. 55/4, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered green. Gisborne plans S.O. 1284, S.O. 1306, S.O. 1339, S.O. 3991, and S.O. 4514.)
