A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred
upon me by subsection one of section eight of the Housing
Amendment Act, 1940, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule
hereto, being land subject to the Housing Act, 1919, to be Crown
and available for reservation under the Land Act, 1948.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 1 rood
20·4 perches, more or less, being Lot 65, being part Lots 11, 12,
and 13, D.P. 147, East End Estate, and being part Section 10,
Block I, Invercargill Hundred. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1107/11, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon edged red. (S.O. plan 5581.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of March, 1950.

Lands Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter
referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the lands described
in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic
purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the
Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and
subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTIONS 3 and 4, Block III, Tutamoe Survey District: Total
area, 141 acres, more or less (North Auckland plans S.O. 12666 and
12656).

Allotments N.W. 101, N.W. 102, M. 102, S.E. 102, and N.W. 103,
Aotea Parish, situated in Blocks III and V, Tryphena Survey
District : Total area, 220 acres 2 roods 26 perches (North Auckland
plans S.O. 26347L and 6733As).

Section 28, Block X, Mangaorongo Survey District: Area,

All that area in the Murchison County, containing by
admeasurement 413 acres, more or less, being part of Section 4,

aforesaid ; towards the west by part Section 10, Block VI, Howard
Survey District, towards the north by part of Section 2, Block VI,
Howard Survey District ; towards the east by other part of Section 4,
aforesaid ; towards the south by Section 6, Block X, aforesaid to the
point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated
or the plan marked L. and S. 26/1206, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon

Altering the Boundaries of the Tauranga and Thames Valley Electric-
power Districts

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
alter the boundaries of the Tauranga and Thames Valley Electric-
power Districts by excluding the area described in the First Schedule
hereto from the Tauranga Electric-power District and including
such area in the Thames Valley Electric-power District, and do
hereby declare that the altered boundaries of the Tauranga and
Thames Valley Electric-power Districts shall be those described
in the Second and Third Schedules hereto respectively.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being part of the
County of Ohinemuri, bounded by a line commencing at a point
(Te Ararimu) in Block I, Katikati North Survey District, where
the southern boundary of the Waihi No. 5 Block meets the sea,
and running in a south-westerly direction generally along the northern
boundary of Crown Land, the northern side and western extremity
of a public road, the south-western boundary of Lot 1 on D.P.
22631, to and along the north-western boundaries of Section 8,
Block I, Katikati North Survey District, Ohinemuri Nos. 17A 2A
and 17A 2B Blocks, Lot 1 on D.P. 32351, being part of Ohinemuri
No. 17A 2C Block and part of Sections 6 and 7, Block I, aforesaid,
the south-western boundary of Lot 1, aforesaid, the north-western
boundary of Section 3, Block I, aforesaid, a right line across the
East Coast Main Trunk Railway, to and along another part of the
said north-western boundary and a right line, being its production
across the Waihi-Tauranga Main Highway, and along its south-
western side to the northernmost corner of Section 12, Block I,
Katikati Survey District; thence along the north-western and
south-western boundaries of Section 12, aforesaid, and the generally
western boundaries of Section 17, Block I, and Section 31, Block IV,
Katikati Survey District, to and along the northern boundaries,
of Lot 1 on D.P. 30035, being part of Section 11, Block IV, aforesaid,
part Lot 3 and Lot 2 on D.P. 23590, being part Section 15, Block IV,
aforesaid, a right line across a public road, to and along the northern
and western boundaries of Lot 1, on D.P. 23590, aforesaid, to and
along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 30 and 28, Block IV,
aforesaid, and the north-eastern boundary of Section 4, Block VII,
Aroha Survey District; thence north-easterly by a right line in the
direction of the mouth of the Waihi Stream to its intersection
with the western boundary of portion of the Borough of Waihi
(Waihi Beach Reserve); thence, south-easterly generally along the
said borough boundary and the shores of the Bay of Plenty, to
the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 82, deposited in the office
of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department,
and thereon outlined in red.

SECOND SCHEDULE

TAURANGA ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District comprising the County
of Tauranga, parts of the County of Rotorua, the Boroughs of
Mount Maunganui and Te Puke, and part of the Borough of
Tauranga, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block I,
Katikati North Survey District, on the shores of the Bay of Plenty
known as Te Ararimu, and being the south-eastern corner of Waihi
No. 5 Block, and running south-easterly along the general line of
the coast to a point due north of Trig. Station J—1; thence running
due south along a right line through the aforesaid Trig. Station J—1
to the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block XI, Waihi South
Survey District; thence due westerly along another right line to
its intersection with the middle of the Waitahanui River, and running
south-westerly generally up the middle of the said Waitahanui
River to a point, being the production north-easterly of the north-
western boundary of Section 1A, Block II, Rotoma Survey District ;
thence along a right line, to and along the said north-western
boundary and the north-western boundaries of Sections 2, 3, 4, and 5,
of the said Block II, and being the eastern side of Hannon’s Road,
to its intersection with the northern boundary of Block VI, Rotoma
Survey District; thence due west along the northern boundaries
of the said Block VI and Block V, Rotoma Survey District, to the
south-eastern corner of Block IV, Rotoiti Survey District; thence
northerly generally along the eastern boundary of the said Block
IV, to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Te Rotoiti Nos.
5B, 5A, and part No. 4 Blocks, and crossing intersecting public
roads, to and along the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block IV,
aforesaid, and the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XVI, Maketu
Survey District, to its intersection with the right line between the
north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block X, Waihi South Survey
District, and Trig. Station 1039 (Otanewainuku); thence due west
along the aforesaid right line to its intersection with the middle of
the Paraite or Mangorewa River; thence up the middle of that
river to a point, being the production southwards of the eastern
boundary of Section 8, Block IV, Rotorua Survey District; thence
along a right line, to and along the eastern and northern boundaries
of the said Section 8, and along the southern side of Matai Road
to a point, being the production south-easterly of the north-eastern
boundary of Section 7, Block IV, Rotorua Survey District; thence
along a right line across Matai Road and along the said north-
eastern boundary and its production to the middle of the Whataroa
Stream; thence down the middle of the said stream to a point
due east of Trig. Station 1039 (Otanewainuku); thence due west
along a right line, through the aforesaid Trig. Station to its inter-
section with another right line between Trig. Stations 27 (Puwhenua),
and 146 (Te Weraiti); thence north-westerly and northerly along
the last-mentioned right line, to Trig. Station 146 (Te Weraiti)
