Vesting the Control of a Reserve for a Site for a Public Hall in the
Ngatapa Public Hall Association (Incorporated)

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of
February, 1950
Present:
THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has
been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for a public hall:
And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said
reserve should be vested in the Ngatapa Public Hall Association
(Incorporated):
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section
seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve in the
Ngatapa Public Hall Association (Incorporated).

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been
duly set apart as a reserve for water-conservation purposes:
And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said
reserve should be vested in the Te Aroha Borough Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section
seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve in the
Te Aroha Borough Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the

Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint
Clifton Griffin,
Leonard Howard Lines,
Percy Johnson,
Dudley John William Walter Waters, and
Katherine Sophia Phillips
to be the Wangapeka Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday,
the twenty-fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
fifty, at eight o'clock p.m. as the time when, and the Matariki Hall
as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct that the District
Valuation Roll for the Tahunanui Town District shall be revised
by the Valuer-General as at the twenty-eighth day of February,
one thousand nine hundred and fifty.

THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section five of the Maori Purposes Act, 1937,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set
apart and reserve the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto as a Maori reservation for the common use of the Ngati
Rangi, Ngati Uenuku, and Ngati Tupoko sub-tribes of Ngatihau
as a marae and meeting-place.
SCHEDULE
ALL that land containing an area of 2 acres, more or less, being part
of the Maori Land Court subdivision known as Waipakura Sub. 1,
situated in Block XV, Waipakura Survey District. As the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked 21/3/206, deposited
in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs at Wellington,
and thereon edged red.

ment of Maori Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
