Trustee of Oamaru Racecourse Appointed

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS Robert Alexander McDowell was appointed to be a trustee of the Oamaru Racecourse under the provisions of an Ordinance of the Provincial Council of Otago intituled the Oamaru Racecourse Reserve Management Ordinance, 1870 : And whereas the said Robert Alexander McDowell is deceased, and it is therefore necessary to appoint another person to be a trustee in the place of the said Robert Alexander McDowell:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the aforesaid Ordinance and by subsection two of section twenty-nine of the Acts Interpretation Act, 1924, do hereby appoint
Percival Thomas Mulligan
to be a permanent trustee and member of the corporate body appointed under the said Oamaru Racecourse Reserve Management Ordinance, 1870, by the name and style of "The Trustees of the Oamaru Racecourse," in the place of the said Robert Alexander McDowell.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of November, 1949.

Lands Subject to the Housing Act, 1919, Declared Crown Lands Available for Reservation Under the Land Act, 1948

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection one of section eight of the Housing Amendment Act, 1940, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being lands subject to the Housing Act, 1919, to be Crown lands available for reservation under the Land Act, 1948.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Borough of Mount Roskill, situated in Block IV, Titirangi Survey District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 15.2 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 28851, and being parts of Allotments 88 and 89 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1107/1A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland Plan S.O. 33837.)
Also all those areas in the Borough of Mount Roskill, situated in Block IV, Titirangi Survey District, containing by admeasurement a total of 19 acres 3 roods 17.8 perches, more or less, being parts Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 28851, being parts Allotments 86, 88, 89, 90, 91, and 92 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; and part Lots 8 and 9 on a plan deposited as aforesaid under No. 3029, being parts Allotment 7 of Section 13, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked L. and S. 1/1107/1B and 1/1107/1c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Proclaiming a Road-line Laid Out in Blocks X and XIV, Opuawhanga Survey District, North Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was by an order of the Maori Land Court made on the third day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, duly laid out as a road-line in pursuance of sections four hundred and seventy-eight and four hundred and eighty-two of the Maori Land Act, 1931 :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the said Act:
And whereas one month's notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of subsection two of section four hundred and eighty-seven of the said Act:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Maori Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto were, by an order of the Maori Land Court made on the twelfth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, duly laid out as road-lines in pursuance of section forty-eight of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1913:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Maori Land Act, 1931:
