Land Proclaimed as Road and Road Closed, in Blocks II and VI,
Tripp Survey District, Ashburton County

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section twenty-nine of the Public Works Amend-
ment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule
hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described
in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

LAND PROCLAIMED AS ROAD

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road: 3
roods 25·2 perches.
Being part Lot 2, D.P. 14026, being part Rural Section 30674;
coloured red.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ROAD CLOSED

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 3 roods 21·3 perches.
Adjoining part Rural Section 30948, and Lot 1, D.P. 14026, being
part Rural Section 30948; coloured green.

All situated in Blocks II and VI, Tripp Survey District.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more parti-
cularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130237, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 22nd day of November, 1949.

hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described
in the Second Schedule hereto.

Adding Lands to the Tongariro National Park

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by subsection one of section two of the Tongariro
National Park Amendment Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir
Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that as and from
the seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-nine, the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be set
apart as additions to the Tongariro National Park to be dealt with
and administered by the Tongariro National Park Board in accord-
ance with the provisions of the Tongariro National Park Act, 1922.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

SECTIONS 1 and 2, Block X, Tongariro Survey District: Total
area, 1 acre and 36 perches, more or less.

Also Sections 3 and 5, Block XIV, Tongariro Survey District:
Total area, 8·5 perches, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 26th day of November, 1949.
