A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section twenty-nine of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto ; and I do also hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
LAND PROCLAIMED AS ROAD
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road : 2 acres 0 roods 1 perch.
Being part Section 6A, Ringway Settlement ; coloured orange.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ROAD CLOSED
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 2 acres 1 rood 1 perch.
Adjoining or passing through Section 6A ; coloured green.
All situated in Block XIV, Jacobs River Hundred (Southland R.D.). (S.O. 5815.)
In the Southland Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 129032, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above-mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of November, 1949.

PURSUANT to section twenty-nine of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 3 roods.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 198, 208, and 223, Town of Waimangaroa.
Situated in the Town of Waimangaroa (Nelson R.D.). (S.O. 9613.)
In the Nelson Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 129996, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Lands Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board constituted, pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 22, Block XV, Omapiere Survey District : Area, 131 acres 2 roods 33 perches, more or less (North Auckland plan S.O. 35261.)

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and published in the Gazette of the first day of February of that year, the control of the land described in the Schedule to that document, being a reserve for a site for a public hall, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by the name of the Hikuai Public Hall Board, in pursuance of section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks, Act, 1928 :
And whereas it is desirable that Adelaide Dick, Francis Earl Goodhow, Norman Frederick Morrison, and Trevor Sidney Petersen should be appointed members of the said Board in place of Betty Kathleen Ogston, William Frederick Ogston, John Robert McCall, and George Ernest Coxon, resigned :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby appoint the said
Adelaide Dick,
Francis Earl Goodhow,
Norman Frederick Morrison, and
Trevor Sidney Petersen
to be members of the Hikuai Public Hall Board constituted by the Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Betty Kathleen Ogston, William Frederick Ogston, John Robert McCall, and George Ernest Coxon, resigned.
