STATE FOREST SERVICE NOTICE

Land in the Otago Land District Acquired for a Permanent State Forest

State Forest Service,
Wellington, 10th February, 1949.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921-22, for the purposes of a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, containing by admeasurement 48 acres 3 roods, more or less, being parts of Sections 11 and 24, Block X, Clarendon Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by Sections 20 and 12, Block X aforesaid, 6246 links; towards the east by a road, 383·4 links; generally towards the north by a road, 6956·7 links; and towards the west by Section 20 aforesaid, 798 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 215/11, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Otago plan S.O. 326.)

EVIDENCE of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 10, folio 114 (Nelson Registry), for 28 perches, being Lot 58, Deposited Plan 21 (Town of Harben), being part of Section 4, Block II of the Kawatiri Survey District, in favour of JAMES GRIFFITHS, of Westport, Sawmiller, and EVAN GRIFFITHS, formerly of Waimangaroa, Sawmiller, now deceased, having been lodged with me together with an application for the issue of a new certificate of title in lieu thereof, I hereby give notice of my intention to issue such new certificate of title after fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

SLAB HUT CREEK GOLD DREDGING COMPANY, LIMITED

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of Slab Hut Creek Gold Dredging Company, Limited, duly convened and held on the 31st day of January, 1949, the following special resolution was passed:—

“That the company, by reason of its liabilities, cannot continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. E. J. Woolf, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator for the purpose of the winding-up.”
