Vesting a Reserve in the Maniototo County Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of August, 1949
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for county buildings: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Maniototo:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Maniototo, in trust, as a site for county buildings.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for county buildings: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Lake:

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a public hall site: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine, in trust, for a public hall site.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for public buildings over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1948.

Declaring a Road in the No. 16 Highway District, Waikouaiti County, to be a Main Highway

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that on and after the date of publication of this Order in Council in the Gazette the road described in the Schedule hereto shall be a main highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the Main Highways Act, 1922.
SCHEDULE
Dunedin–Waitati (via Leith Valley).—All that portion of road in the Waikouaiti County known as the Leith Valley Road, commencing at the Leith Valley School on the north-western boundary of Section IV, Block VIII, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally, adjoining Block VIII, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, and Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and Sections 31, 40, 42, 59, 57, 63, 64, and 65, Block VIII, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, and terminating at its junction with the existing Dunedin–Waitati (via Leith Valley) Main Highway on the northern boundary of Sections 57 and 65, Block VIII, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, being a distance of 3 miles 8 chains, more or less; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 129602, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
