Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Block III, Town of Fortrose, Southland Land District

B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of August, 1949

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for ferry purposes, and is vested, in trust, in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Southland:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for county buildings, and the Southland County Council has duly consented to such change of purpose :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for ferry purposes to a reserve for county buildings.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 roods 20-7 perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on the plan numbered 4052, and deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar, at Invercargill, and being part of Section 1, Block III, Town of Fortrose, and being also part of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 45, folio 28 (Southland Land Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/3630/84, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto form portions of a reserve duly set apart for the public service of the Province of Canterbury :

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such lands shall be changed to a reserve for defence purposes :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reservation over the lands described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from portions of a reserve for the public service of the Province of Canterbury to a reserve for defence purposes.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 1-5 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 3894, situated in the City of Christchurch, and bounded as follows : Towards the north-east by Lots 6, 7, 8, and 9, D.P. 149, and by the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 233, folio 3, 239-3 links; towards the south-east and again towards the north-east by Reserve 3893, 100 links and 260 links respectively; towards the south-east by Poulson Street, 400-7 links; towards the south-west by Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, D.P. 12249, 250 links, and by Lots 19 and 18, D.P. 123, and Lots 4, 3, and 2, D.P. 1671, 253-84 links; and towards the north-west by other part of Reserve 3894 aforesaid, 373-96 links and 127-34 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/7/247B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 5-6 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3893, situated in the City of Christchurch, and bounded as follows : Towards the north-east by the land in Certificates of Title, Volume 233, folio 3, Volume 461, folio 238, Volume 344, folio 159, Volume 319, folio 250, and by part Lot 48, D.P. 63, 323-59 links; towards the south by Poulson Street, 101-38 links and 21-06 links; towards the south-west and north-west by part Reserve 3894, 260 links and 100 links respectively. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/7/247A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Murchison, Nelson Land District

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a drill-shed site: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for county purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a drill-shed site to a reserve for county purposes.

Cancelling the Vesting of Portion of a Reserve in the Southland County Council

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of August, 1949

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve for ferry purposes, and is vested, in trust, in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Southland:

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Southland County Council had duly consented to such cancellation:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Southland of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Vesting the Control of Reserves in the Riverton Borough Council

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of August, 1949

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been duly set apart as reserves for gravel purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserves should be vested in the Riverton Borough Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserves in the Riverton Borough Council.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTIONS 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, and 20, Block XXII, Town Riverton: Area, 2 acres 1 rood, more or less.
