PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant- General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate held by Jeremiah Francis Kerrisk, formerly of Auckland, Farm Hand, but now of Mangapehi, Farmer, under and by virtue of lease under section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, recorded in the Register-book, Volume 96, folio 34, Taranaki Land Registry, in the areas of land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of road ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.
