Land Taken for Post and Telegraph Purposes (Postmaster’s Residence),
in Block XV, Maramarua Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, save and except all minerals within the meaning of the Land Act, 1924, on or under the land and subject to the reservation always in favour of His Majesty the King and all persons lawfully entitled to work the minerals a right of ingress, egress, and regress over the land, is hereby taken for Post and Telegraph purposes (postmaster’s residence); and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood 7·4 perches. Being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 33483, situated in the Te Kauwhata Town District, being part Section 1 of Block XV, Maramarua Survey District, and being portion of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 905, folio 214 (Auckland Land Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of July, 1949.

Land Taken for the Purposes of a Sports-ground in the City of Christchurch

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a sports-ground, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127998, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Work Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of an aerodrome (housing); and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 acre 1 rood 29·8 perches.

Situated in the Borough of Gisborne, being Lots 47, 48, and 102 on D.P. 2068, part Matawhero B or 5 Block in Matawhero Road, Chalmers Road, and Scott Street, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 81, folio 134 (Gisborne Land Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of July, 1949.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty of the Finance Act, (No. 2), 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto in hereby taken for better utilization; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1948.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 132 acres 1 rood 21 perches.

Being part Rural Section 28514.

Situated in Blocks X and XI, Westerfield Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7565.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 120172, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
