Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that at a special general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 29th day of April, 1949, the following resolutions were passed:—

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily.

“ That Mr. N. H. Moss, of Stratford, Solicitor, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.

“ That the remuneration of the liquidator shall be £15 15s.”

HAWKES BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seventy-five thousand pounds (£75,000), authorized to be raised by the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out further reticulation in that part of the Hawkes Bay Electric-power District comprised in the constituent districts of the County of Hawkes Bay, the Town District of Taradale, the Borough of Hastings, and the Town District of Havelock North, the said Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth (1/10th) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the constituent districts of the Borough of Hastings, the County of Hawkes Bay, and the Town Districts of Havelock North and Taradale; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eighteen and one-half (18½) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the company be held in the office of the liquidator, 53 Fort Street, Auckland, on Friday, 20th May, 1949, at 11 a.m.

Business—

1. To receive the liquidator’s statements of account showing how the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of.

2. To direct the liquidator by extraordinary resolution as to the disposal of the books and papers of the company.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hawkes Bay Rivers Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of £10,660, known as the “ Ngaururoro Renewal Loan, 1949,” authorized to be raised by the Hawkes Bay Rivers Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of paying off the balance of the £18,200 loan portion of the Ngaururoro River Control Loan, 1935, of £60,000, the said Hawkes Bay Rivers Board hereby makes and levies the special rates enumerated hereunder upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the respective wards comprising the Hawkes Bay Rivers District set opposite the said several rates, namely:—

“ Ward No. 1, 1/16th of a penny in the pound ;

“ Ward No. 2, 7/44ths of a penny in the pound ;

“ Ward No. 3, 7/44ths of a penny in the pound ;

“ Ward No. 4, 1/18th of a penny in the pound ;

“ Ward No. 5, 1/48th of a penny in the pound ;

“ and that such special rates shall be annual-recurring rates during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Hawkes Bay Rivers Board held on the 2nd day of May, 1949.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Pahiatua County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,100, authorized to be raised by the Pahiatua County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the Pahiatua County Council Bridges Loan 1938, £22,000, issue of £2,000, the Pahiatua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-fifth of a penny (1/35d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Pahiatua; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Proposed by Councillor H. Morrison, seconded by Councillor F. S. H. Bolton, and carried.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Pahiatua was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Pahiatua County Council in the presence of:—
