Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Titirangi Domain

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

The Commissioner of Crown Lands, Gisborne, ex officio,
The Mayor of Gisborne, ex officio,
The Chairman, Cook County Council, ex officio,
Arthur Leonard Singer,
Alfred James Cox,
Reginald Frank Gambrill,
Kingi Areta Keiha,
Henry Clyde Nolan, and
Thomas Roy Andrew

to be the Titirangi Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the eleventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, at two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—TITIRANGI DOMAIN

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 10 acres 2 roods 26·2 perches, more or less, being Lot 6 on D.P. 2004, and being part of Kaiti 337¹ Block, situated in Block VII, Turanganui Survey District, Borough of Gisborne.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods 30·1 perches, more or less, being Subdivision 7B of Kaiti 337¹ Block, situated in Block VII, Turanganui Survey District, Borough of Gisborne.

Thomas Ernest Hall,
Robert Dunlop, and
Russell Lachlan Boden

to be the Massey-Birdwood Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the thirtieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Massey-Birdwood School, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Block VIII, Leeston Survey District, Canterbury Land District

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a public library for the district of Springston and for no other use or purpose whatsoever:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a site for a public library for the district of Springston and for no other use or purpose whatsoever to a reserve for recreation purposes.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 4550 (formerly Lot 1, D.P. 14179, being part of Rural Section 2800), situated in Block VIII, Leeston Survey District: Area, 1 rood 0·7 perches, more or less.

Recreation Reserve in South Auckland Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 4th day of May, 1949
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the South Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the Hamilton Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Hamilton Domain Board.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the County of Waipa, situated in Block I, Hamilton Survey District, containing by admeasurement 13·6 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 34182, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part Allotment 370, Parish of Te Rapa. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/178G, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
