- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1970.
- MINIMUM HEIGHT OF LINES
On the north-western side of Nevis Street the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto shall maintain a height of not less than 20 ft. above the roadway. If, however, the Post and Telegraph Department at any time in the future desire to erect further telegraph lines on the north-western side of Nevis Street, the licensee shall remove the said electric lines if called upon so to do by that Department.
SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy, as prescribed in these presents, commencing from the switchboard in the licensee's building situated in the Borough of Petone and in part Subdivision 4B and 4E, Section 3, Hutt District, being Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 on D.P. 675, Block XIII, Belmont Survey District, and proceeding thence along Nevis Street, and across Nevis Street at two points to the licensee's other buildings situated in the Borough of Petone, and in part Subdivision 4B, Section 3, Hutt District, being Lots 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 on D.P. 675, Block XIII, Belmont Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated by means of red lines and green lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 53, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

Authorizing the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board to Erect, Maintain, and Use Electric Lines Within Portions of the Hawkes Bay Electric-power District

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth, subject to the conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto, hereby authorize the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as the licensee) to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Second Schedule hereto; and, further, for the purposes of section seventy-six of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, subject to the said conditions, doth hereby authorize the licensee to construct and maintain the said electric works.
FIRST SCHEDULE
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
In respect of the lines hereby authorized, the licensee shall comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with any regulations made or to be made in amendment or amplification thereof or in substitution therefor.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (d), (e), and (f) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The primary distribution voltage shall be 11,000 volts between phases.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 2nd day of March, 1967.
- CHARGES FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY
The charges for electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. per unit for lighting purposes and 6d. per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes: Provided that "lighting purposes" shall include the operation of motor-generators for lighting purposes: and, provided further, that if accounts are paid within fourteen days of due date the charges shall not exceed 10d. per unit for lighting purposes and 4½d. per unit for motor-power, cooking, or heating purposes.
In the case of wholesale supply, the charge shall not exceed £16 per kilovolt-ampere of half-hourly maximum demand per year plus 4d. per unit. "Wholesale supply" for this purpose shall be held to be a supply in respect of which the consumer shall guarantee to pay not less than £180 per year.
A minimum charge of 7s. 6d. per month may be collected if required by the licensee, and shall be printed on the licensee’s conditions of supply.
SECOND SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described within those parts of the Hawkes Bay Electric-power District described as follows:-
(a) That part of the Hawkes Bay County shown bordered blue on the plan marked S.H.D. 56, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.
(b) That part of the Waipawa County described in the Second Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 22nd day of November, 1948, and published in the Gazette on the 30th day of the same month at page 1451, as the same is more particularly delineated on the aforesaid plan S.H.D. 56, and thereon coloured blue. The electric lines at present proposed to be erected and used being shown by means of red lines on the aforesaid plan S.H.D. 56.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and published in the Gazette on the fourth day of the same month at page 640, authorizing Frederick Tavener of Belfield, Farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.
