SECOND SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE MAUNGAKAWA RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Waikato and Piako Counties, situated in Blocks XIV and XV, Maungakawa Survey District, and Blocks I, II, III, V, VI, and VII, Cambridge Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the Pukemoremore Trig. Station in Block I, Cambridge Survey District aforesaid, and running north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Karokaro Nos. A 2, C, and B Blocks and the southern boundary of part Tahuora No. 1 Block to the south-western corner of Section 72s, Te Miro Settlement; thence again north-easterly along a right line to Tutaenui Trig. Station at the western corner of Kiwitahi No. 3c Block; thence south-easterly, again north-easterly, and northerly generally along the south-western, south-eastern, and eastern boundaries of the land as shown on the plan numbered 24860, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part Kiwitahi No. 3c Block, to the north-eastern corner of the said land; thence easterly generally along the southern boundaries of part Kiwitahi No. 3c and 3b Blocks, Te Au-o-Waikato No. 8 Block, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across Kiwitahi Road, along the western side of the said road, to and along the western boundary of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 25792, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Te-Au-o-Waikato No. 8 Block aforesaid, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 23088, deposited as aforesaid, being part Kiwitahi No. 1c Block, to the western boundary of part Lot 3 as shown on the plan numbered 5151, deposited as aforesaid, being part Te Pae-o-Turawaru No. 2a Block; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of part Lot 3 aforesaid, to and along the western boundary of Section 1 of Block III, Cambridge Survey District, to and along the western boundaries of part Lots 1 and 2 and Lots 4, 5, 6, and 7, as shown on the plan numbered 17890, being part Te Pae-o-Turawaru Nos. 2c 2 and 2c 1 Blocks, to the northern boundary of part Lot 43 as shown on the plan numbered 14557, deposited as aforesaid, being part Hinuera No. 2 Block; thence south-westerly generally along the northern boundary of part Lot 43 aforesaid, the north-western boundaries of Lot J of Hinuera No. 2 Block, and part Section 1, Block VII, Cambridge Survey District, to and across Te Miro Road, and along the north-western boundaries of Sections E. 2 and W. 2, Block VI, Cambridge Survey District aforesaid, to and across Maungakawa Road, and along the north-western boundary of part Hinuera No. 2 Block as shown on the plan numbered C. 37, lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to Trig. Station C on the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 287, Hautapu Parish; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 287 and 288, Hautapu Parish, along a right line across a public road, to and along the north-eastern boundaries of parts Section 1, Block VI, Cambridge Survey District, Sections 25, 24, 22, and 20, Block V, Cambridge Survey District, to and across a drain reserve and Hautapu–Te Miro Road to the northern side of that road; thence westerly and north-westerly generally along Hautapu–Te Miro Road aforesaid, to and along a drain reserve passing through Sections 20 and 18, Block V aforesaid, and adjoining Section 17, Block V aforesaid, and Lot 2 of Section 1, Block I of the said survey district, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Pukemoremore No. 3r Block; thence north-easterly generally along a right line to the south-western corner of Pukemoremore No. 3r Block aforesaid; thence again north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Pukemoremore No. 3r and No. 3g Blocks, the abutment of a public road, and along the south-eastern boundaries of Pukemoremore No. 3b and 1 Blocks, and along the last-mentioned boundary produced to Pukemoremore Trig. Station, the point of commencement.

THIRD SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE KIWITahi RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Piako and Waikato Counties, situated in Blocks V to XVI, Maungakawa Survey District, Blocks I and II, Cambridge Survey District, and Block XII, Komakorau Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the Pukemoremore Trig. Station situated in Block I, Cambridge Survey District aforesaid, being the north-western corner of Section 35s, Te Miro Settlement; thence northerly generally along the Confiscation Boundary-line to and across Griffin’s Road to the Waitakaruru Stream; thence again northerly generally along the right bank of the said Waitakaruru Stream to its confluence with the Topehahae River in Block VI, Maungakawa Survey District aforesaid; thence southerly generally along the left bank of the Topehahae River aforesaid to its junction with the Tonepi Stream, across the said Topehahae River, and along the said Tonepi Stream to and across Starkey’s Road; thence north-easterly generally along the southern side of Starkey’s Road aforesaid to and across the Kiwitahi Road; thence to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 4 as shown on the plan numbered 16021, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Te Au-o-Waikato Maungatapu Block, to and across the Morrinsville–Rotorua Railway, and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 5 as shown on the plan numbered 16021 aforesaid, being portion of Te Au-o-Waikato Maungatapu Block, to the Piako River; thence easterly generally along the left bank of the Piako River aforesaid to a point in line with the eastern side of the Maungatapu Road; thence again northerly generally across the Piako River aforesaid, and along the eastern side of the Maungatapu Road aforesaid to its junction with the Morrinsville–Ngarua Main Highway; thence along the southern side of the said main highway to its intersection with the Kiwitahi Station Road; thence southerly generally along the western side of the said Kiwitahi Station Road and along the last-mentioned boundary produced to the southern side of Hutchinson’s Road; thence south-easterly generally along the said southern

side of its intersection with the Morrinsville–Rotorua Railway aforesaid; thence south-westerly generally along the northern side of the said railway to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 31856, deposited as aforesaid, being part Section 15s, Pakarau Settlement, across the said railway, and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid to the right bank of the Piakoiti Stream; thence along the right bank of the said Piakoiti Stream to its junction with the Piakonui Stream; thence southerly generally to and along the left bank of the said Piakonui Stream, to and along the western boundary of Te Pae O Tu Rawaro No. 2 No. 2b Block, across a public road, and again along the western boundary of Te Pae O Tu Rawaro No 2 No. 2b Block aforesaid, and along the western boundary of part Lot 3 as shown on the plan numbered 5151, being part of Te Pae O Tu Rawaro No. 2 No. 2a Block to the northern boundary of Kiwitahi No. 1d 2 Block; thence westerly generally along the northern and western boundaries of Kiwitahi No. 1d 2 Block aforesaid to a point in line with the northern boundary of Kiwitahi No. 2e Block, along a right line across a public road, along the northern boundary of Kiwitahi No. 2e Block aforesaid, along the northern boundary of Section 24s, Te Miro Settlement, along the northern boundary of the land as shown on the plan numbered 28351, deposited as aforesaid, being part Kiwitahi No. 3b and No. 3c Blocks, to and along the eastern, south-eastern, and south-western boundaries of the land as shown on the plan numbered 24860, being part Kiwitahi No. 3c Block, to the Tutaenui Trig. Station, situated in Block XIV, Maungakawa Survey District aforesaid; thence south-westerly generally along a right line through Section 72s, Te Miro Settlement, to the north-eastern corner of Section 92s, Te Miro Settlement; thence along the northern boundary of Section 92s aforesaid, the abutment of a public road, the northern boundary of Section 91s, the northern and western boundaries of Section 83s, to and along the north-western boundaries of part Section 33s, part Section 34s, Lot 1 of Section 34s, and Section 35s, all of the said Te Miro Settlement, to the Pukemoremore Trig. Station at the north-western corner of Section 35s, Te Miro Settlement aforesaid, the point of commencement.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, and to section twenty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby constitute and declare the area of land, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto, being an area to which subsection one of section thirty of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, applies, a rabbit district, and doth appoint that the name of the said rabbit district shall be the Mackenzie Rabbit District, and doth order that the basis on which the Rabbit Board to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of land occupied by the ratepayer.

SCHEDULE

DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE MACKENZIE RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Mackenzie and Waimate Counties of the Canterbury Land District, containing 360,000 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary between the Mackenzie and Waimate Counties on the left bank of the River Waitaki; thence proceeding northerly generally up the left bank of that river to its junction with the left bank of the Tekapo River; thence along a right line across the mouth of the Tekapo River to the junction of the right bank of the Tekapo River with the left bank of Pukaki River; thence up the right bank of the Tekapo River and along the western shore of Lake Tekapo to a point due west of the middle of the mouth of Boundary Stream; thence due east to the middle of the mouth of Boundary Stream and easterly generally up the middle of that Stream to a point in line with the northern boundaries of Blocks VII and VIII, Tekapo Survey District; thence easterly to and along those boundaries to the summit of the Two Thumb Range; thence southerly generally along the summit of that range to Mount Burgess, and a right line to the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 35007, and by the eastern side of that section to Burkes Pass Road; thence north-easterly by that road to a point at the junction of the Opihi River and Firewood Stream; thence southerly by the watershed, passing through Rural Sections 36085, 36458, the eastern boundary of R.S. 36459 and 36460, passing through S.G.R. 86, and along the eastern boundaries of R.S. 36464, 36465, and by the road forming the western boundary of S.G.R. 50, in Block IX, Tengawai Survey District, to a point opposite the southern boundary of S.G.R. 50 aforesaid; thence south-westerly by a right line through S.G.R. 54 to the south-eastern corner of R.S. 32070 in Block XIII, Tengawai Survey District; thence by the southern side of that rural section to the River Tengawai, and south-westerly by that river and the Mackenzie Stream to Lockharts Stream, and by that stream in a southerly direction to its source; thence by the
