A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
a recreation-ground and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and
Burgesses of the Borough of Upper Hutt as from the date herein-
after mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall
take effect on and after the twentieth day of December, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 9 acres 3 roods
7-9 perches.
Being part of Section 128 of the Hutt District, and being the balance
of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title,
Volume 257, folio 93 (Wellington Land Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 8th day of December, 1948.
