RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridges and County Offices Renewal Loan, 1948

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Taumarunui County Council hereby resolves as follows :--

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,500, authorized to be raised by the Taumarunui County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the Bridges and County Offices Loan, 1937, £13,000, portion £6,000, the said Taumarunui County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property, comprising the whole of the County of Taumarunui; and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE

Otago Central Redemption Loan, 1948, of £13,700

THE Otago Electric-power Board at a special meeting of the Board at Milton on the 16th day of November, 1948, resolved :-

"That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the Board by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and any amendments thereto, and for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirteen thousand seven hundred pounds (£13,700), to be known as the 'Otago Central Redemption Loan, 1948,' authorized to be raised by the Otago Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of redeeming the balance of the Otago Central Reticulation Loan, 1938, at maturity, the Otago Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sixteenths of a penny (5/16 d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Otago Central Area of the Otago Electric-power District, comprising the Borough of Naseby and parts of the Counties of Taieri, Maniototo, and Waihemo, more particularly described in the Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 26th day of April, 1929 ; and it is hereby further resolved that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said Otago Central Redemption Loan, 1948, or until the said loan has been fully repaid; and that the said special rate be and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as security for the repayment of the said loan and for the payment of interest thereon and other charges under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan."

We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at the above meeting as minuted.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Central Waikato Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-

"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on the Central Waikato Electric-power Board's Special Loan, 1948, £60,000, authorized to be raised by the Board under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, for the purpose of further reticulation work within the Central Waikato Electric-power District, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0975 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) on all rateable property in the Central Waikato Electric-power District, as the same is defined by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 27th day of July,
