The Standards Act, 1941.—Specifications Declared to be Standard Specifications

NOTICE is hereby given that on the dates stated in the first column hereunder the undermentioned specifications were declared to be standard specifications by the Minister of Industries and Commerce pursuant to section 8 of the Standards Act, 1941:

STATE FOREST SERVICE NOTICE

Milling-timber for Sale by Public Tender.—Rotorua Conservancy, Auckland Land District

WRITTEN tenders close with the Conservator of Forests, Rotorua, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, 15th December, 1948, for the purchase of all the branded and numbered trees on 166 acres in Blocks XII and XVI, Hurakia Survey District, and Blocks IX and XIII, Marotiri Survey District, being Sawmill Area 82, State Forest No. 56, approximately sixty-three miles from Putaruru.

The total estimated quantity of timber in cubic feet is 467,600, or in board feet 3,231,000, made up as follows:

CROWN LANDS NOTICE

Town Land in Otago Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,

Dunedin, 16th November, 1948.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 10th January, 1949.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 12th January, 1949, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee; and amount of improvement loading.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND

Waihemo County.—Town of Moeraki

SECTION 14, Block V: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £25; half-yearly rent, 12s. 6d.

Weighted with £2 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising fencing.

This section is level top and is situated about 200 ft. above sea-level one and a half miles from Hillgrove Post-office. Access is from main north and south highway, which is about one mile and a half distant by formed metal road. Section is suitable for residential purposes.

NOTE.—Applications by ex-servicemen and wives or widows of ex-servicemen have preference over all other applicants.
