towards the south-east and south generally by the south-eastern
and southern sides of the West Coal-Motukaraka Road; towards
the south-west by the Tasman Sea; towards the north-west generally
by Whakarawerua A 2c and A 3 Blocks, Pakinga A Block, the
Rotokakahi River, Pakinga B l Block, Paihia lk, ll, and lJ Blocks,
a school reserve, Paihia lg l, lg 2E, and Ig 2D Blocks, again by
the Rotokakah River, Paihia 2g 1, Part ld ll, Part ld 12 Block,
and again by the Rotokakah River; and towards the north by
Sections 10 and 11, Block VIII, Whangape Survey District, and
Sections 46 and 1, Block III, Whangape Survey District. As the
same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 4/18, deposited
in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1947, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby constitute
and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a rural
fire district, to be known as the "Hunua Rural Fire District";
and doth hereby specify the trees and other plants on lands vested
in the Auckland City Council and situated in the said area as the
property for the protection of which the district is constituted;
and doth hereby specify the period between the first day of October
in any one year and the thirtieth day of April in the following year
(both days inclusive) as a closed fire season in the said district; and
doth hereby constitute the Auckland City Council as the rural
fire committee of the Hunua Rural Fire District; and doth hereby
prescribe that the said district shall be administered by the Auckland
City Council for the purposes of the said Act; and doth hereby
further declare that this Order in Council shall come into force
on the day following publication thereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
Hunua Rural Fire District
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Manukau and
Franklin Counties, containing approximately 83,000 acres, situated
in Blocks VIII, IX, X, XII, XIII, and XIV, Wairoa Survey District,
Blocks II, III, IV, and V, Orere Survey District, Blocks II, III, IV,
VI, VII, VIII, XI, XII, and XV, Opaheke Survey District, and
Blocks I, II, III, IV, and V, Wharekawa Survey District, and
bounded generally as follows: Towards the east by the eastern

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1947, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby con-
stitute and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to
be a rural fire district, to be known as the "Tahorakuri Rural Fire
District"; and doth hereby specify the trees and other plants
on land owned by N.Z. Forest Products, Limited, a company
having its registered office at Penrose, and situated in the said
area, as the property for the protection of which the district is
constituted; and doth hereby specify the period between the first
day of October in any one year and the thirtieth day of April
in the following year (both days inclusive) as a closed season
in the said district; and doth hereby constitute the directors for
the time being of N.Z. Forest Products, Limited, as the rural fire
committee of the Tahorakuri Rural Fire District; and doth hereby
prescribe that the said district shall be administered for the purposes
of the said Act by the rural fire committee hereby constituted; and
doth hereby further declare that this Order in Council shall come
into force on the day following publication thereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-ROTORUA CONSERVANCY
Tahorakuri Rural Fire District
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Taupo County,
containing approximately 55,000 acres, situated in Blocks II, III,
IV, V, VI VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII, Tatua Survey District,
and Blocks I, II, V, VI, and IX, Takapau Survey District, and
bounded generally as follows : Towards the north-east, south-east,
and south by the left bank of the Waikato River; towards the
south-west and south-east by Tahorakuri No. 2D Block; again
towards the south-west by the south-western side of a road, by
the southern side of the Rotorua-Taupo State Highway, and by
the south-western sides of a road, a road reserve, and a road to its
junction with a track through the Tatua East Block; towards the
north-west by the aforesaid track to the southern boundary of
Tutukau East B 6 Block; towards the north by Tutukau East B 6
Block, and thence by a right line from Te Toatoa to Mapourea,
and from that point to Trig. Station 1124 (Whakapapataringa);
towards the north-west by a right line to the confluence of the
Wharekaka Stream and the Waikato River; thence by a right
line to Trig. Station 1133 in Block IV, Tatua Survey District;
towards the north by a right line from the last-mentioned trig.
station to the southern side of the bridge over the Waikato River
on the Rotorua-Taupo State Highway. As the same is more
particularly delineated on plan No. 46/29, deposited in the Head
Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.
