WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE AN ESTATE OR INTEREST IN LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal
Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf,
to execute a certain public work—namely, transport purposes at Wakefield Street and at Chaffers Street in the City of Wellington—
and for the purposes of such public work all that leasehold estate or interest under and by virtue of Memorandum of Lease No. 24061
in the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land in which the leasehold estate or interest is required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours;

and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such leasehold estate or interest should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said leasehold estate or interest, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington, containing twenty-six perches and twenty-five one-hundredths of a perch (26·25 perches), be the same a little more or less, being part of Reserve K, City of Wellington, being Lots 27 and 28 on Deposited Plan No. 9880, coloured blue on the plan above mentioned, and
being also part of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 514, folio 20 (Wellington Registry).

BOROUGH OF ROTORUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Transit Housing Loan, 1948, £12,150

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twelve thousand one hundred and fifty pounds (£12,150), authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing land with buildings thereon, converting such buildings into transit housing units, erecting further transit housing units and providing the necessary services therefor, the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal three five eight pence (0·358d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the lst day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Education Act, 1914, and of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Southland proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the establishment of a public school—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Education Board situated in Tay Street, Invercargill, and is open for inspection by all persons (without fee) during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Education Board at its office in Tay Street, Invercargill, aforesaid.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in the Hundred of Aparima, containing two (2) acres and two (2) roods, be the same a little more or less, being Lots Nine (9) to Eighteen (18), Block Six (VI), on plan deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Invercargill aforesaid as No. 76, and being also part of country section marked Nine (9), Block Two (II), on the public map of the said Hundred, and being also the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title entered in Register-book at Invercargill aforesaid, Vol. 24, folio 163, the registered proprietor of which land is Thomas James Sheedy, of Otautau, Labourer.

And, secondly, all that piece of land situated in the said Hundred of Aparima, containing four (4) acres three (3) roods twenty (20) poles, be the same a little more or less, being Lots Twenty-two (22), Twenty-three (23), and Twenty-four (24), said Block Six (VI), and being also part of said country section marked Nine (9), and being also the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title entered as aforesaid, Vol. 29, folio 54, the registered proprietor of which said pieces of land is Alexander Chisholm, of Otautau, Veterinary Surgeon.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between VAUGHAN NOEL HUXFORD and UNA EVELYN HUXFORD, carrying on business of a dairy in Devon Street, New Plymouth, has been dissolved as from the 21st day of October, 1948, the said VAUGHAN NOEL HUXFORD having retired from the business. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said UNA EVELYN HUXFORD, who will continue to carry on the said business.
