A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a recreation-ground and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Devonport as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
