Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work, and not Required for That Purpose, to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 23.62 perches. Being part Sections 3 and 13. Situated in Block VII, Otago Peninsula Survey District (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 9656.) In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127771, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of October, 1948. R. SEMPLE, Minister of Works. Land Taken in the Borough of Masterton for the Purposes of the Masterton Licensing Trust Act, 1947

FREYBERG, Governor-General A PROCLAMATION PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty-one of the Masterton Licensing Trust Act, 1947, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Masterton Licensing Trust Act, 1947, and shall vest in the Masterton Licensing Trust as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
SCHEDULE APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 3 roods 38.05 perches. Being part Lot 1, D.P. 10548, being part Section 56, Masterton Small Farm Settlement, and part old bed, Waipoua River. Situated in Block I, Otahoua Survey District. (S.O. 21723.) In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127767, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of October, 1948. R. SEMPLE, Minister of Works. Land Taken for the Purpose of a War Memorial in Block III, Waimana Survey District, Whakatane County

FREYBERG, Governor-General A PROCLAMATION PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of a war memorial and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whakatane as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight. SCHEDULE APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken :- A. R. P. 0 1 0 Allotment No. 27 of the Village of Waimana, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 291, folio 65 (Auckland Land Registry). 0 1 0 Section No. 28 of the Village of Waimana, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 220, folio 49 (Auckland Land Registry).
