NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board proposes, in pursuance of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute certain public works—namely, the erection of workshop, store, garage, and houses for its employees—and that for the purposes of such public works the Board proposes to take the following lands:

(a) 1 rood 20 perches, situate in Block I of the Rimutaka Survey District, and being Section 18 of the Mawaihakona Township, being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 321, folio 97.

(b) 1 rood 20 perches, being part of Section 95, Hutt District, and being Section 17 of the Mawaihakona Township, and being the balance of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 406, folio 74.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands are required to state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice—namely, the 23rd day of September, 1948—to the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board at its office in Hutt Road, Lower Hutt.

IN LIQUIDATION

Pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed by the company on the 13th day of September, 1948:

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that LILY RATHBONE REYBURN, Accountant, of Whangarei, be appointed liquidator.”

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the provisions of the Mining Act, 1926, I have made applications to the Warden’s Court at Cromwell, numbered 36 and 37 of 1948, for two dry races commencing in Jones Gully, Bannockburn, and terminating on my own land; and for permission to carry therein from time to time the whole of the water held by me under Licence No. 5522. The said applications will be heard and determined by the Warden’s Court at Cromwell on Tuesday, the 2nd day of November, 1948, at 10.30 a.m.
