IN LIQUIDATION
Notice of General Meeting
NOTICE is hereby given that the affairs of the company having now been fully wound up, a meeting of creditors of the above-named company will be held in the Chamber of Commerce Board Room, corner of High and Dowling Streets, Dunedin, on Friday, 22nd October, 1948, at 10 o'clock a.m., for the purpose of laying before the creditors an account of the winding-up, showing how the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of and to give any explanation thereof, and also of passing a resolution disposing of the books, documents, and accounts of the company and of the liquidators thereof. The resolution to be submitted to creditors is as follows :—
"That the books, documents, and accounts of the liquidator be kept at the offices of Messrs. Mitson, Bell, and Company, Public Accountants, 24 Water Street, Dunedin, for the period of three months from the date of passing this resolution, and thereafter that they be destroyed."

KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Napier) that I, the undersigned CHAN NORMAN LEE, of Napier aforesaid, Carpenter Trainee, and now or lately called NORMAN CHAN, do hereby, on behalf of myself and issue lawfully begotten, absolutely renounce and abandon the use of my said name of NORMAN CHAN and in lieu thereof assume and adopt the name of CHAN NORMAN LEE; and for the purpose of evidencing such change of name I hereby declare that I shall at all times hereafter in all actions, suits, and proceedings, as well as in all dealings and transactions, matters, and things whatsoever, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said name of CHAN NORMAN LEE as my name in lieu of the said name of NORMAN CHAN abandoned as aforesaid; and I hereby expressly authorize and require all persons whomsoever at all times to designate, describe, and address me and any issue by such adopted name of CHAN NORMAN LEE.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my adopted and substituted name of CHAN NORMAN LEE this 8th day of September, 1948.

HAWKE'S BAY CATCHMENT BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO EXECUTE WORK AND TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hawke's Bay Catchment Board proposes, under the provisions of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—namely, to provide a depot in connection with the work of minimizing or preventing damage by floods and by erosion by controlling the flow of water in the Tuki Tuki River at Waipukurau—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the Waipukurau County Council, Northumberland Street, Wai-pukurau, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk to the Hawke's Bay Catchment Board at the Board's offices, Hawke's Bay County Building, corner of Browning and Herschell Streets, Napier.
THE SCHEDULE
Five acres and thirty-five perches (5 acres and 35 perches), situate in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, part of Section 2, Block XIV, Waipukurau Survey District, being Lot 8 on Deposited Plan 1994, and all the land in certificate of title, H.B. Vol. 15, folio 155.

THE TARANAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £4,500 (to be known as 'Renewal Loan, 1948'), authorized to be raised by the Taranaki Electric-power Board in New Zealand by special order under the abovementioned Act, and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling, for the redemption at maturity of the outstanding liability in respect of the Tarata Special Area Loan, 1938, £3,000, and of portion (£4,800) of the Reticulation Loan, 1938, £15,000, the said Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/500ths (thirteen five-hundredths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the portion of the rating area of the Taranaki Electric-power District, comprising the following special rating areas—namely, (a) the Board's original district, as defined in New Zealand Gazette Supplement No. 40 of 18th May, 1922 ; (b) the Stratford County Extension Special Rating Area, as defined in New Zealand Gazette No. 31 of 20th May, 1926 ; (c) the Clifton County Special Rating Area No. 1 ; (d) the Clifton County Special Rating Area No. 2 ; and (e) the Tarata Special Area, as defined in New Zealand Gazette of 5th February, 1931—and that such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off."
We hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Taranaki Electric-power Board held on the 20th day of September, 1948.

"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £2,000 (to be known as 'Tarata No. 2 Reticulation Loan, 1947, £2,000'), authorized to be raised by the Taranaki Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling, for the purpose of reticulating (a) the Tarata Extension Special Area of the Taranaki Electric-power District, as defined by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62 of the 18th August, 1938, at page 1859, and (b) the Tarata Further Extension Special Area of the Taranaki Electric-power District, as defined by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 56 of the 25th September, 1947, at page 1373, such respective special areas collectively constituting the Tarata No. 2 Special Rating Area, the said Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and three-fifths of a penny (1½d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the rating area aforesaid; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off."
We hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Taranaki Electric-power Board held on the 20th September, 1948.
