Sale of Unclaimed Property

It is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the Police at the various police-stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, the 9th October, 1948, be sold thereafter by public auction. Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained from the Superintendent or Inspector of Police in charge of the District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921–22, for the purposes of a permanent State forest.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeit by the resolution of the Nelson Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 262 acres, more or less, and being Section 186, Square 2, situated in Block VIII, Wai-iti Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 14, folio 168 (Nelson Registry).
As the same are delineated on plan No. 102/19, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES
APPLICATION having been made to me to register a transmission (No. 45994) to JAMES PHILIP TRACEY GAYNOR and BERTIE WITCHER as survivors, as mortgagees in Memorandum of Mortgage No. 211650 (Wellington Registry), affecting part of Section 14, Hutt District, being Lot 9 on Deposited Plan 8984, containing 26·64 perches, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 408, folio 196, and a discharge of the said mortgage, and evidence having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of the said mortgage, I hereby give notice of my intention to dispense with the production of the said duplicate under section 40 of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, and register the transmission and discharge on the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

APPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a provisional certificate of title in the name of JAMES WYLLIE MARSHALL, late of Half-moon Bay, Fisherman, now deceased, for Section 113, Block I, Paterson District, and being all the land comprised in Vol. 49, folio 282 (Southland Registry), and evidence having been lodged of the loss of the said certificate of title, I hereby give notice that I will issue such provisional certificate of title as requested after fourteen days from 23rd September, 1948.
