The Rotorua Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 10

Pursuant to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:

1. This notice may be cited as the Rotorua Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 10; and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Rotorua Milk Delivery Notice 1942† (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

2. Clause 6 of the principal scheme is hereby amended as follows:

(a) By revoking the words “John Heywood Hampson, of Rotorua,” relating to deliveries in Zone No. 4, and substituting the words “Richard George Anderson, of Rotorua.”

(b) By revoking the words “Oswald Roy Mellsop, Rotorua,” relating to deliveries in Zone No. 11, and substituting the words “John Henry Waters, of Rotorua.”

Timaru Egg Marketing Notice No. 2

Pursuant to the Egg Marketing Emergency Regulations 1942, I, Edward Cullen, the Minister of Marketing, hereby give notice as follows:

1. This notice may be cited as the Timaru Egg Marketing Notice No. 2.

2. This notice shall come into force on the 27th day of September, 1948.

3. Upon the coming into force of this notice the Timaru Special Egg Marketing Notice No. 1 made on the 22nd day of July, 1943, shall be revoked.

4. In this notice, unless inconsistent with the context,

“Area” means the Special Egg Marketing Area declared by this notice;

“Authorized distributor” means a person, firm, or corporation for the time being declared to be an authorized distributor by public notice given under the regulations for the purposes of this notice;

“Distributor’s address” means the address for business of an authorized distributor stated in any such notice as aforesaid;

“Purchase” includes an attempt to purchase and offer to purchase, and also includes acquisition by barter, and “purchase” used as a verb has a corresponding meaning;

“Regulations” means the Egg Marketing Emergency Regulations 1942;

“Sale” includes an attempt to sell and an offer to sell, and also includes disposition by barter, and “sell” has a corresponding meaning.

5. It shall be a defence to any person charged with an offence against this notice or an offence against the regulations arising out of this notice if such person proves that in the transaction complained of he was acting as the duly authorized agent of an authorized distributor, or was dealing with a person whom on reasonable grounds he believed to be the duly authorized agent of an authorized distributor.

6. All that area of land lying within the Borough of Timaru, together with all that area of land included within the boundaries of Kelland’s Hill Road, Washdyke Flat Road, Main North Road, Old North Road, and Page’s Road, is hereby declared to be a Special Egg Marketing Area for the purpose of the regulations.

7. No person other than an authorized distributor shall within the area sell eggs by wholesale to any person other than an authorized distributor.

8. Every person selling eggs within the area to an authorized distributor shall deliver the same at the authorized distributor’s address or any other place at which the authorized distributor may from time to time be prepared to accept delivery.

9. Every authorized distributor purchasing eggs in the area shall account for the same in such manner at such prices and subject to such deductions (if any) whether for commission or otherwise as the Minister may from time to time and whether generally or specially direct.

10. No person shall within the area otherwise than from an authorized distributor purchase or otherwise acquire any eggs for sale by retail whether for sale in the form in which he receives them or for sale in any other form or for sale as part of any meal or commodity.

Timaru Egg Marketing Notice No. 3

Pursuant to the Egg Marketing Emergency Regulations 1942, I, Edward Cullen, the Minister of Marketing, hereby give notice as follows:

1. This notice may be cited as the Timaru Egg Marketing Notice No. 3.

2. This notice shall come into force on the coming into force of the Timaru Egg Marketing Notice No. 2.

3. Keith Bell Longmore, of Wellington, Acting-Director of the Marketing Department, is hereby declared to be an authorized distributor for the purposes of the Timaru Egg Marketing Notice No. 2.

4. The address for business of the authorized distributor hereby appointed is at the premises known as the Timaru Egg Floor, situate at Browne Street in the Borough of Timaru.

Revocation of Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940

In terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the approval of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder as Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.
