Producers' Representatives on the New Zealand Meat-producers Board Appointed.—(Notice No. Ag. 4547)

Wellington, 15th September, 1948.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in
pursuance of paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section 2
of the Meat-export Control Act, 1921–22, to appoint—
David Hazeel Cockburn, Esquire, and
John Davies Wilder Ormond, Esquire,
to be members of and representatives of the producers of meat for
export on the New Zealand Meat-producers Board established under
the said Act.

to appoint, on the 13th day of September, 1948—

David McGregor, resigned.

in the Public Service:
John Courtney Quinlan
to be Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates’ Court at New Plymouth
for the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926, on
and from the 13th day of September, 1948.
James Gibson
to be Registrar of Brands for the Ashburton Branding District for
the purposes of the Stock Act, 1908, on and from the 1st day of
October, 1948.
John Penman
to be an Inspector of Coal-mines under the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and
its amendments, on and from the 18th day of August, 1948.
Eric Milroy
to be an Examiner in Sight Tests for the purposes of the Shipping
and Seamen Act, 1908, on and from the 30th day of August, 1948.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block VI, Rangitoto Survey District, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in
the Schedule hereto for road: And notice is hereby further given
that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
post-office at Marton and is there open for inspection; and that all
persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have
any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth
the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from
the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at
Wellington.

Ettrick Defence Rifle Club, with headquarters at Ettrick,
Otago.

The Rangiora Milk Delivery Notice 1948, Amendment No. 2

Pursuant to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,*
the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Rangiora Milk Delivery
    Notice 1948, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with
    and deemed part of the Rangiora Milk Delivery Notice 1948†
    (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
  2. Clause (7) of the principal notice is hereby amended by
    revoking the words “Jack Keith Gaskin,” in relation to the zone
    marked in red on the plan, and substituting the words “Alfred
    James Kirkland.”

Dated at Wellington, this 15th day of September, 1948.
