EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding
duplicate of certificate of title, Vol. 499, folio 172 (Wellington
Registry), in the name of JAMES ALBERT PEGRAM, of Wellington, Builder, for 21·93 perches, more or less, situate in the City of
Wellington, being part of Section 2 of the Evans Bay District, and
being also Lot 46 on Deposited Plan No. 10263, and application
(K. 27491) having been made for the issue of a new certificate of
title in lieu thereof, I hereby give notice of my intention to issue
such new certificate of title on the expiration of fourteen days from
the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wairoa
County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £3,900, authorized to be raised by the Wairoa County
Council under the above-mentioned Act, to redeem at maturity
the outstanding liability in respect of a portion of £10,000 of the
Road Metalling and Main Highways Improvement Loan, 1938, the
said Wairoa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of ¹⁄₁₂d. (one-twelfth of one penny) in the pound on the rateable
value (capital) of all rateable property comprising the County of
Wairoa; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly submitted to and passed at the ordinary meeting of the Wairoa County
Council held at the County Council Chambers, Queen Street, Wairoa,
on Tuesday, the 8th day of June, 1948.

HOROWHENUA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

COPY of resolution re application for sanction to borrow
£40,000 :—
“ That application be made by the Horowhenua Electric-power
Board to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to
the borrowing without a poll under section 15 of the Finance Act
(No. 2), 1936, the sum of £40,000 for a period of twenty years at a
rate of 3½ per centum interest repayable on an amortization basis
or half-yearly or annual redemption of debentures.
“ As security for the said loan it is proposed to strike a rate
of one-tenth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the
basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property in the Board’s
area.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution
passed by the Horowhenua Electric-power Board on the 22nd July,
1947, and appearing in the minute-book of the said Board.
