Proclaiming Maori Land to have become Crown Land
[L.S.] B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section four hundred and fifty-four of the Maori Land Act, 1931, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied that the purchase of the Maori land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act, do hereby proclaim that the said land has become Crown land.

SCHEDULE

First, all that piece of land situated in Block II, Wainuioru Survey District, containing 95 acres 2 roods 7·3 perches, more or less, being part of the land called or known as Te Wera-a-Whaitiri No. 2D, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 451, folio 185 (Wellington Registry).

Secondly, all that piece of land situated in Block II, Wainuioru Survey District, containing 2 acres and 3 perches, more or less, being part of the land called or known as Te Wera-a-Whaitiri No. 2c 2, being also Lot 3 on Deposited Plan 2846, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 222, folio 88 (Wellington Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of June, 1948.

Declaring a Portion of Railway Land at Otira to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 39 perches.
Being part Railway land in Proclamation No. 51, Block X, Otira Survey District.

Situated in Westland County. (S.O. 4470.)

In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9329, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of June, 1948.

Additional Land at Otira taken for the Purposes of the Midland Railway

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Midland Railway.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 34·3 perches.
Being part Reserve 1880 (post-office site, Proclamation 629), Block X, Otira Survey District.

Situated in Westland County. (S.O. 4470.)

In the Westland Land District: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9329, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of June, 1948.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public school and shall vest in the Education Board of the District of Wellington as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 7 acres 0 roods 26·8 perches.
Being Lot 1, D.P. 12529, being part Section 68, Hutt District.

Situated in Block X, Belmont Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 493, folio 25 (Wellington Land Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of June, 1948.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public school and shall vest in the Education Board of the District of Auckland as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 7 acres 1 rood 17 perches.
Being Section 3 of Block X of Tauranga Survey District, and being formerly part of Allotments 4, 5, 18, and 62 of the Suburbs of Tauranga, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 781, folio 246 (Auckland Land Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of May, 1948.

Being part of the land on D.P. 8687, being part Allotment 47, Tahawai Parish.

Situated in Block IX, Katikati Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 33498.)

In the Auckland Land District: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127198, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of June, 1948.
