Land taken for Hospital Purposes in the Borough of Oamaru

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for hospital purposes and shall vest in the Waitaki Hospital Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.

Crown Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Matamata County, containing by admeasurement 951 acres, more or less, and being Section 189, Selwyn Settlement, situated in Block VIII, Patetere North Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 37/11, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan S.O. 18590.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of April, 1948.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, Marlborough County, containing by admeasurement 2,149 acres, more or less, being Sections 11 and 12, Block I, Section 1, and Lots 1 and 2 of Section 2, Block V, and Crown land situated in Blocks I and V, Onamalutu Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-east and east by a road along the left banks of Doom Creek and Foster Creek; towards the south-east by permanent State forest—Gazette, 1881, page 951; towards the south-west and west by a road along the right bank of Devil’s Creek; and towards the north-west by a road along the right bank of the Wakamarina River: save and excepting all public roads. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 110/7, deposited in the Head Office of the Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of April, 1948.

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Waimatua Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 4510)

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of April, 1948

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any rabbit district, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:

And whereas the district known as the Waimatua Rabbit District has been constituted and and for the purposes of the said Act:

And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area in the said district:

And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;

(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,

(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE WAIMATUA RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the County of Southland, Southland Land District containing by estimation 42,220 acres; more or less: Bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the Dunedin-Invercargill State Highway with Cemetery Road, Block II, Invercargill Hundred; thence in a north-easterly direction generally along the south-eastern side of the said Dunedin-Invercargill State Highway to its junction with Evans Road, Block VIII, Invercargill Hundred; thence in a southerly direction generally along the western side of the said Evans Road to the left bank of the Waihopai River, through Section 30, Block VIII, Invercargill Hundred; thence in an easterly direction generally along the left bank of the said Waihopai River to Woodlands South Main Highway; thence in a southerly direction along the western side of the said Woodlands South Main Highway to its junction with the Kennington-Waikawa Main Highway; thence in an easterly direction generally along the southern side of the said Kennington to Waikawa Main Highway to its junction with Gorge Road; thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western side of Gorge Road to Waituna Road; thence south-westerly generally along the north-western side of the said Waituna Road to and across the Mokotua Main Highway; thence in a south-westerly direction generally along the western side of the said Mokotua Main Highway and Clearwater Road to a public road forming the northern boundary of Section 80, Block III, Oteramika
