P URSUANT to section forty of the Statutes Amendment Act,
1946, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by Wilfred Hinds
Howell, of Cave, Farmer, of the land described in the Schedule
hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of section one hundred and
seven of the Land Act, 1924.

in Council authorizing Him to erect Electric Lines in the Borough
of Ross, and amending the said Order in Council

April, 1948

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby consent to the assignment
to Ross Motors, Limited, by Gordon Simon Rae, of Ross, Garage-
proprietor, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order
in Council dated the twenty-second day of November, one thousand
nine hundred and thirty-nine, and published in the Gazette on the
twenty-third day of the same month, at page 3129, authorizing
him to lay, construct, put up, place, and use certain electric lines;
and further doth hereby amend the said Order in Council by adding
to the conditions thereof the following clause :—
“ 5. CHARGES ON SALE
“ (1) The charges for electrical energy shall not exceed 2s.
(two shillings) per calendar month for each lighting point.
“ (2) Payment shall not be demanded from any consumer at
intervals apart of less than twenty-one days.”

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
W HEREAS the Moteuka Borough Council (hereinafter called
the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions
of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, to
borrow the sum of six hundred and seventy-four pounds (£674),
by a loan to be known as “ High Street Widening Loan, 1948 ”
(hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of paying its
portion of the cost of widening High Street through the Moteuka
Borough :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by
section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1932,
as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2),
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the
said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of six hundred and
