Thames South Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Puriri and Waihou Rivers; thence north-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 94, in Block IX, Tairua Survey District; thence southerly along a right line to Trig. Station 89B, in Block I, Ohinemuri Survey District, and along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Hikutaia No. 1B 1A Block; thence along the eastern boundary of the said block and its production to the middle of the Hikutaia River; thence down the middle of the Hikutaia River to its confluence with the Waihou River; thence down the middle of the Waihou River to its confluence with the Puriri River, the point of commencement.

WHANAUNGA TRIBAL DISTRICT

Coromandel-Colville Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded on the west and north generally by the sea from the mouth of the Waiau River, in Block X, Coromandel Survey District, to the southernmost point of Port Charles, in Block I, Harataunga Survey District; thence southerly along a right line to Howell’s Trig. Station, in Block X, Coromandel Survey District; thence westerly along a right line to the mouth of the Waiau River, the point of commencement, and including adjacent islands.

Kennedy Bay Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded on the east by the sea-coast from the southernmost point of Port Charles, in Block I, Harataunga Survey District, to a right line from Howell’s Trig. Station, in Block X, Coromandel Survey District, passing through Trig. Station CC, in Block V, Otama Survey District; thence westerly along that line to the aforesaid Howell’s Trig. Station; thence northerly along a right line to the southernmost point of Port Charles, the point of commencement, and including adjacent islands.

Ahimia Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the Waiau River, in Block X, Coromandel Survey District; thence easterly along a right line to Howell’s Trig. Station, and a right line passing through Trig. Station CC to the sea-coast; thence southerly generally along the sea-coast to the north head of Tairua Harbour; thence north-westerly along a right line in the direction of the source of the Waikawau River to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of Section 5, Block IV, Whitianga Survey District; thence south-westerly along that boundary to its south-eastern corner; thence along the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block IV aforesaid, and the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 5, 6, and 9, Block VII, Whitianga Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 9 and the south-eastern boundary of Section 8, Block VII aforesaid, to the southernmost point of the said Section 8; thence along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of Section 7, Block VII aforesaid, to the south-eastern corner of Section 6 of the said Block VII; thence along the southern and western boundaries of Section 6 and the western boundaries of Section 5, Block VII, and Section 4, Block IV, Whitianga Survey District, to their intersection with a line between the northern head of Tairua Harbour and the source of the Waikawau River; thence along that line to the source of the Waikawau River, and down that river to its mouth; thence northerly along the sea-coast to the mouth of the Waiau River, the point of commencement, and including adjacent islands.

Tawatawa Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the north head of Tairua Harbour, in Block X, Whitianga Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line in the direction of the source of the Waikawau River to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of Section 5, Block IV, Whitianga Survey District; thence south-westerly along that boundary to its south-western corner; thence along the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block IV aforesaid, and the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 5, 6, and 9, Block VII, Whitianga Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 9 and the south-eastern boundary of Section 8, Block VII aforesaid, to the southernmost point of the said Section 8; thence along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of Section 7, Block VII aforesaid, to the south-eastern corner of Section 6 of the said Block VII; thence along the southern and western boundaries of Section 6 and the western boundaries of Section 5, Block VII, and Section 4, Block IV, Whitianga Survey District, to their intersection with a line between the northern head of Tairua Harbour and the source of the Waikawau River; thence along that line to its intersection with a right line from Trig. Station Maumau-paki, in Block XII, Hastings Survey District, passing through Trig. Station Papakai; thence southerly generally along that line to Trig. Station Maumaupaki, and along a right line to Trig. Station 1091, in Block XV, Hastings Survey District; thence easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 97 (Table Mountain); thence southerly along a right line to Trig. Station 94, in Block IX, Tairua Survey District; thence easterly along a right line, passing through Trig. Station X, to its intersection with the sea-coast in Block XII, Tairua Survey District; thence northerly along the sea-coast to the south head of Tairua Harbour; thence along a right line to the north head of Tairua Harbour, the point of commencement.

Whiritoa-Mataora Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 94, in Block IX, Tairua Survey District, being a point on the southern boundary of Tawatawa Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence easterly along that boundary to the sea-coast; thence southerly along the sea-coast to the south-eastern corner of Mataora Block, in Block I, Waihi North Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 1399; thence north-westerly along a right line to the intersection of the production of the eastern boundary of Hikutaia No. 1B 1A Block with the middle of the Hikutaia River, in Block V, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence to and along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of Hikutaia No. 1B 1A Block; thence northerly along a right line to Trig. Station 89B and along a right line to Trig. Station 94, the point of commencement.

Waihi Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 567 (Te Aroha); thence north-easterly along a right line in the direction of the mouth of the Waihi Stream to the western boundary of part of Waihi No. 5 Block (part of Waihi Borough, as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1926, at page 3045); thence along the western boundary of the aforesaid part of Waihi No. 5 Block, across the Waihi Beach Road, and the southern boundary of the aforesaid part of Waihi No. 5 Block to its south-eastern corner; thence northerly along the sea-coast to the south-eastern corner of Mataora Block, in Block I, Waihi North Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 1399; thence north-westerly along a right line to the intersection of the production of the eastern boundary of Hikutaia No. 1B 1A Block with the middle of the Hikutaia River, in Block V, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence southerly along a right line to Trig. Station 1862, and along a right line to the confluence of the Ohinemuri River and the Waitawheta Stream; thence along a right line to Trig. Station 63 (Karangahake), and along a right line to Trig. Ngati Pare Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Waihou and Hikutaia Rivers, in Block VIII, Waihou Survey District; thence to and up the middle of the Hikutaia River to its intersection with the production of the eastern boundary of Hikutaia No. 1B 1A Block, in Block V, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence southerly along a right line to Trig. Station 1862, and along a right line to the confluence of the Ohinemuri River and the Waitawheta Stream, in Block I, Aroha Survey District; thence down the middle of the Ohinemuri River to its original confluence with the Waihou River near the Pumanuka Block, in Block XVI, Waihou Survey District; thence up the original Waihou River to a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Canal Reserve containing 123 acres 2 roods 35 perches, situated in Block XII, Waihou Survey District; thence due west along a right line to the middle of the Ngahina Canal; thence down the Ngahina Canal and the Waihou River to its confluence with the Hikutaia River, the point of commencement.

Ngati Hako Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Awaiiti Canal at its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of Awaiiti No. 1J 2A 1 Block, in Block XV, Waihou Survey District; thence easterly generally along the said south-eastern boundary, across a public road, and the southern side of Pukahu Road and its production to the middle of the Waihou River; thence up the middle of the Waihou River to a point in line with the middle of Mill Road, in Block XVI, Waihou Survey District; thence to and along the middle of Mill Road to its junction with the Paeroa – Te Aroha Main Highway; thence along the said highway to its junction with Cadman Road; thence south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 63 (Karangahake); thence southerly along a right line to Trig. Station 567 (Te Aroha); thence along a right line to the easternmost point of the Te Aroha Borough, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page 1868; thence along the south-eastern, southern, and western boundaries of the aforesaid borough to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with the middle of the Waihou River; thence down the middle of the Waihou River to its intersection with the southern boundary of Waihou Survey District; thence westerly along the said boundary to its intersection with the middle of the Elstow Canal; thence northerly generally along the middle of that canal, the Tee Canal, and the Awaiiti Canal to the intersection of the last-mentioned canal with the south-eastern boundary of Awaiiti No. 1J 2A 1 Block, the point of commencement.

Ngati Tawhaki Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 63 (Karangahake), in Block I, Aroha Survey District, being a point on the north-eastern boundary of Ngati Hako Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence north-westerly generally along that boundary to a point in the middle of the Ngahina Canal, being a point on the south-western boundary of the Ngati Pare Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the confluence of the Ohinemuri River with the Waitawheta Stream, in Block I, Aroha Survey District; thence along a right line to Trig. Station 63 (Karangahake), the point of commencement.
