RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water-supply Loan, 1947, of £3,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Dannevirke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-

"That the Dannevirke Borough Council, in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, make and levy for the purpose of providing for the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £3,000, for the extension of the present water-supply reticulation, a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Dannevirke; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off."

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work-namely, the realignment and reconstruction of a portion of the Beach Road Main Highway passing through or adjoining the several pieces of land referred to hereunder in the Takapuna Riding of the County-and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situated at the Council Chambers, 1 Princes Street, Auckland, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

Streets and other Improvements Loan Redemption Loan, 1948, £4,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of four thousand five hundred pounds (£4,500), authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the abovementioned Act, for the purpose of repaying the balance unprovided for of the Streets and other Improvements Loan, 1927, of £6,500, the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one two one pence (0.121d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve (12) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

BOROUGH OF KAIKOHE

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Kaikohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Kaikohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for meeting a proportion of the cost of extending the water-supply system of the Borough of Kaikohe, the said Kaikohe Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Kaikohe; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off."
