DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership formerly carried on at Wellington by JOHN SYDNEY BOOCOCK and ROBERT GEORGE COX, under the firm name of Reliant Studios, has been dissolved by mutual consent as at the 13th day of February, 1948.
All debts due and owing by the said firm will be received and paid respectively by JOHN SYDNEY BOOCOCK, who will continue to carry on the said business under the same firm name.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Wellington City Melrose District Drainage Loan, 1908, Renewal Loan, 1948, of £37,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Monday, the 1st day of March, 1948:
" In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Wellington City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:
" That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of thirty-seven thousand pounds (£37,000), to be known as the 'Wellington City Melrose District Drainage Loan, 1908, Renewal Loan, 1948,' authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming, to the extent that sinking funds are insufficient, the Wellington City (Part Melrose District) Drainage Loan, 1908, Renewal Loan, 1933, of £100,000, which matures on the 1st day of May, 1948, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventy-one eight-hundredths of a penny (7/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years from the 1st day of May, 1948, or until the loan is fully paid off."

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER-RACE UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1926
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Cromwell.
PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned, Walter Alexander Dunstan, of Christchurch, Engineer, hereby applies for a licence for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 19th February, 1948, at 4 p.m.

Cowie leasehold and Sanders Bros. leasehold through neck of land formed by hairpin bend of Kawarau River and terminating in Kawarau River on other side of bend.
Length and intended course of race: Half a mile west to east.
Points of intake: One, in Kawarau River.
Estimated time and cost of construction: One year; £20,000.
Mean depth and breadth: 10 ft. by 6 ft.
Number of heads to be diverted: Five thousand.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Mining.
Proposed term of licence: Twenty-one years.

RUAMATA LOGGING COMPANY, LIMITED IN LIQUIDATION
Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution pursuant to Section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933
NOTICE is hereby given that, in accordance with subsections (1) and (3) of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, the following special resolution was duly passed on the 24th day of February, 1948:
"Resolved, this 9th day of February, 1948, as a special resolution, by memoranda signed for the purpose of becoming an entry in the minute-book of the company as provided by subsections (1) and (3) of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933:
"(1) That the company, having filed the statutory declaration of solvency, be wound up voluntarily;
"(2) That Mr. ATHOL ALBERT THOMAS, of Taumarunui, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company."

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Roads and Bridges Renewal Loan, 1948
THE following resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 23rd February, 1948:
"That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other loan charges on a loan of £5,800, authorized to be raised by the Raglan County Council under authority of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of repaying principal instalments due on 1st March and 1st July, 1948, in respect of the Roads, Bridges, and Drainage Loan, 1937, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.109d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property, comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years until the loan is fully repaid."

DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH COUNCIL WATER-SUPPLY LOAN, 1947, OF £3,000
RESOLUTION of Council dated the 23rd day of February 1948, to proceed with the raising of the loan, providing for its currency and form of debentures, and pledging and appropriating the special rate:
"1. That the Dannevirke Borough Council, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, and of the consent of the Governor-General in Council, given by Order in Council made pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, dated the 10th day of December, 1947, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 18th day of December, 1947, at page 1914, and all other powers, if any, in that behalf enabling, hereby resolve to proceed with the raising of the Water-supply Loan, 1947, of £3,000.
"2. That the term of currency of the said loan be the period of twenty (20) years from the 1st day of August, 1948.
"3. That the said loan, together with interest thereon at the rate of three pounds two shillings and sixpence (£3 2s. 6d.) per centum per annum on all capital redeemable in the first ten years and three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum on all capital redeemable in the last ten years, shall be repaid by forty (40) equal aggregate half-yearly instalments of £102 6 5d. each, the first of such instalments being payable on the 1st day of February, 1949, and the last of such instalments being payable on the 1st day of August, 1968.
"4. That the Council doth hereby permanently appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest, principal, and other charges thereon, a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound (£) made and levied upon the rateable property of the Borough of Dannevirke, comprising the whole of the Borough of Dannevirke, by resolution passed on the 23rd February, 1948, and to be published in the New Zealand Gazette.
"5. That the common seal of the borough be affixed to forty debentures numbered 1 to 40 inclusive for £102 6s. 5d. each, in the form produced to and approved by this meeting, to be issued in respect of the said loan.
"6. That the Mayor and Treasurer be and they are hereby authorized to sign and countersign respectively all such debentures.
"7. That copies of this resolution and of all other resolutions and documents in respect of the said loan, duly verified by the Mayor and Town Clerk as correct copies of the extracts from the minutes of proceedings of the said Council, may be sealed by the common seal of the Corporation as evidence of the same and issued."
