The Rangiora Milk Delivery Notice 1948
Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows :-
- This notice may be cited as the Rangiora Milk Delivery Notice 1948.
- This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the publication thereof in the Gazette.
- The Rangiora Milk Delivery Notice 1942+ is revoked as from the date this notice comes into force.
- The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.
SCHEDULE
THE RANGIORA MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1948
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,
"The district" means the Borough of Rangiora as indicated by zones marked on the plan:
"The plan" means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of this scheme in the office of the Milk Marketing Division of the Marketing Department at Wellington under No. M.M.D. 9:
"Minister" means the Minister of Marketing;
"Zone" means a zone of the district marked on the said plan.
(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members :
(a) Two members to be appointed by the Rangiora Borough Council;
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme:
(c) An officer of the Public Service to be appointed by the Director of Milk Marketing.
(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.
(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
(6) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows:-

Declaring a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area
Pursuant to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1947, the Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared to be a pool area for the marketing of bobby calves, doth hereby declare such area of land, defined as aforesaid, to be a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area for the purposes of the said regulations under the name set out in the said Schedule; and doth hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 11th day of March, 1948.

CLEVEDON BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA
All that area of land lying within the Manakau County and bounded by a line commencing at the point on the sea-coast in the Hauraki Gulf known as Whakakaiwhara Point; thence in a generally southerly direction following along the sea-coast to the Matingarahi Point; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of Section 4B 2B 3, Blocks III and II, Orere Survey District, to the northern boundary of Block IV, Orere Survey District; thence continuing in a westerly direction along the northern boundaries of Blocks IV and XIV, Orere Survey District, to the north-western corner of the said Block XIV; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Block XIV, Orere Survey District, to the southern boundary-line of the Manakau County; thence in a generally westerly direction along the said county boundary to the western corner of Section 145, Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District; thence in a straight line across country in a northerly direction to the south-eastern corner of Section 60, Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District; thence in a generally northerly direction along the eastern boundaries of Sections 60 and 59, Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 59;
thence in a straight line across country in a north-westerly direction to the south-eastern corner of Section 29 of D.P. 20982, Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the right-of-way on the northern boundaries of Sections 4, 5, and 6, Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 6; thence in, firstly, a northerly and then easterly direction along the western and northern boundaries of Section D.P. 8135, Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the said Section D.P. 8135; thence continuing in an easterly direction across the Alfriston-Ardmore Road and along the southern boundary of Section Part 38 of Section 38, Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the said Section Part 38 of Section 38; thence in a northerly direction along the western boundary of Section 8, Block XII, Otahuhu Survey District, to the north-western corner of the said Section 8; thence in a generally north-easterly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 8, 7, 6, and 5, Block VII, Wairoa Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the said Section 5; thence in a generally northerly direction along the western boundaries of Sections 30, 29, 74, 73, 75, 24, 59, W 57, Block VII, Wairoa Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the said Section W 57; thence in a straight line across country in a northerly direction to the south-western corner of Section 80, Block III, Wairoa Survey District; thence continuing in a northerly direction along the western boundaries of Sections 80 and 81, Block III, Wairoa Survey District, to the north-western corner of the said Section 81; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of the said Section 81 to the western boundary-line of Block IV, Wairoa Survey District; thence in a northerly direction along the western boundaries of Blocks IV and II, Wairoa Survey District, to the Pukekawa Trig.; thence in a straight line across country in a north-easterly direction to the south-western corner of the Waiomaru Block on the sea-coast; thence in a generally southerly direction following along the sea-coast to the Wakakaiwhara Point, being the original point of commencement.

Pursuant to Regulation 5 : 1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.

Sanford, Ltd., P.O. Box 443, Auckland, has applied for a licence to extract nutritional or medical oils from fish livers.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
W. A. Judd, Maungaturoto, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed outside proposed garage premises on the Maungaturoto-Dargaville Main Highway opposite the Maungaturoto Railway-station.
J. S. Thomasen and R. Kappely, McLean Street, Woodville, have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed outside garage premises in McLean Street, Woodville.
E. H. Irving, Broadwood, Hokianga, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump already installed outside garage premises at Broadwood.

G. E. Lindsay, Lake Manapouri, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed in the Township of Manapouri.
D. W. Starke, 58 Ulster Street, Hamilton, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on proposed service-station premises on a site half a mile south of Tokoroa Township on the Tirau-Taupo Highway.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 18th March, 1948, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
