Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph

Exemption Order under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—

A motor-driver’s licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market-garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 16th day of June, 1948, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 5th day of April, 1948, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land situated in Blocks VI, VII, X, and XI, Komakorau Survey District, containing by admeasurement one thousand one hundred and sixty-five (1,165) acres one (1) rood twenty-one decimal four (21·4) perches, more or less, being part Lot 2B on Deposited Plan 7126, being portion of Allotment 224, Parish of Komakorau, and part of a block granted to the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, by grant dated 20th July, 1876, and being all the land described in certificate of Title, Vol. 838, folio 72 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situated in Block VI, Komakorau Survey District, containing by admeasurement eighteen (18) acres one (1) rood thirty-three decimal five (33·5) perches, more or less, being Lot 2A and part Lot 2B on Deposited Plan 7126, being portion of Allotment 224, Parish of Komakorau, and being all the land described in Certificate of Title, Vol. 195, folio 297 (Auckland Registry).
