Revocation of Certificate under the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940
I DO hereby revoke, as from the 26th day of November, 1947, the certificate issued under my hand dated the 15th day of July, 1940, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of the same month, certifying that the licensed premises known as the "Hotel Cargen," situated at Eden Crescent, Auckland, were being used for war purposes by the Auckland Hospital Board, a local authority within the meaning of the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940, and that the publican's licence in force in respect of such premises was suspended as from the said 15th day of July, 1940.

Date of Election of Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancy on the Feilding, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, and Wanganui Fire Boards

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth appoint Monday, the 8th December, 1947, to be the date for holding the election of one member of each of the Feilding, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, and Wanganui Fire Boards by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancies caused by the death of Mr. L. Monkman.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for Post and Telegraph purposes (employees' hostel): And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Wellington and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 2 roods 35.3 perches.
Being part Section 409 on the public map of the Town of Wellington, being also Lot 4, D.P. 8160, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 340, folio 270 (Wellington Land Registry).
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126306, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a post-office—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Green Lane and is there open for inspection; and that all
persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to take Land and an Easement over Land in Block IV, Tangitu Survey District, for a Quarry
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a quarry—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the First Schedule hereto and an easement over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, vesting in His Majesty the King full and free liberty, right, licence, and authority in perpetuity to construct and use a right-of-way with the right for His Majesty's servants, agents, and workmen from time to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass, and repass with or without horses or other animals or vehicles over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and to maintain, repair, and keep open the said right-of-way for the purpose of providing access to the land described in the First Schedule hereto, such easement to be held appurtenant to the land described in the First Schedule hereto, are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken and of the land in respect of which the easement is so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ongarue and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land or the taking of the said easement over land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land or to the taking of such easement over land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126304, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

SPECIAL ORDER
"That, pursuant to the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Lower Hutt City Council, by way of special order, doth hereby declare that the plant convolvulus (Convolvulus arvensis and Convolvulus calystegia sepium, both species) is a noxious weed within the City of Lower Hutt."
