NZ 403602 Squadron Leader (temp.) John Milne CHECKETTS, D.S.O., D.F.C., A.D.C., to be Wing Commander (temp.), with seniority as from 10th December, 1945. Dated 1st November, 1947.

Appointment of Honorary Officers
In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, Frederick Hackett, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the persons named in the following Schedule to be Honorary Officers for the acclimatization districts shown in such Schedule for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, such persons to hold office until the 31st March, 1950.

Commissioner of the Supreme Court appointed
Leslie Charles Thomas Sedgwick, Esquire, of Casino, in the State of New South Wales, a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, has this day been appointed by the Honourable Sir Humphrey Francis O'Leary, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in New South Wales under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

Customs Acts Amendment Act, 1934.-Notice regarding Sales Tax on Imported Goods
Pursuant to section 38 of the Customs Acts Amendment Act, 1934, I, Walter Nash, Minister of Customs, do hereby notify that sales tax on imported goods included in items 74 and 75 of the Customs Tariff is to be computed in accordance with the provisions of the said section 38.
This notice has effect on and from the 31st day of October, 1947.
