"GENERAL
"(11) A privilege-ticket order under this regulation shall be issued only on satisfactory proof of identification and on production by the applicant of the requisite authority to obtain such order.
The order will authorize the person or persons in whose favour it is issued to purchase a privilege ticket or privilege tickets available for travel by railway between the stations specified in the order.
"(12) A privilege-ticket order issued in favour of two or more persons shall, for the purposes of computing the number of orders issued to such persons pursuant to this regulation, be counted as if separate orders had been issued to each of such persons.
"(13) If, owing to illness or other unavoidable cause, a retired member or retired temporary employee is unable to attend at the proper place to sign a privilege-ticket order, the signature of the retired member's wife or housekeeper or of the retired temporary employee's wife, as the case may be, may be accepted in lieu of the signature of the retired member or of the retired temporary employee."

Order in Council approving Ratification of the Treaties of Peace

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of November, 1947

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, at Paris, on the tenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, Treaties of Peace between the Allied and Associated Powers and Italy, Roumania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Finland were concluded and signed for and in respect of New Zealand by a plenipotentiary duly authorized for that purpose:
And whereas it is expedient that the said Treaties of Peace be ratified by and in respect of New Zealand :
Now, therefore, the Governor-General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of External Affairs, is pleased to order and doth hereby order, that the said Treaties of Peace be approved, accepted, confirmed, and ratified for and in respect of New Zealand.

The Animals Protection (Mallard Duck and Grey Duck) Warrant, 1947

PURSUANT to section eight of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare as follows :-

This Warrant may be cited as the Animals Protection (Mallard Duck and Grey Duck) Warrant, 1947.

This Warrant shall take effect on the day following the date of notification thereof in the Gazette.

Mallard duck (Anas boscas) included in the Second Schedule to the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, shall cease to be included therein, and mallard duck (Anas platyrhyncus, sometimes known as Anas boscas) and any cross of that species with any other species, variety, or kind of duck shall be deemed to be included in the said Second Schedule.

Any cross of grey duck (Anas superciliosa) with any other species, variety, or kind of duck shall be deemed to be included in the Third Schedule to the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and section forty of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the undermentioned land is available for disposal as sites for commercial or industrial purposes.
SCHEDULE
TABANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in the Borough of New Plymouth, containing an area of 21·2 perches, more or less, being Section 851, Grey District (formerly incorrectly described as Section 2358, Borough of New Plymouth), and being orginally part Native Reserve 1, Block IV,
Paritutu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/4865, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Also all that area situated in the Borough of New Plymouth, containing an area of 17·8 perches, more or less, being Section 852, Grey District (formerly incorrectly described as Section 2359, Borough of New Plymouth), and being originally part Native Reserve 1, Block IV, Paritutu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/4866, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
