IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section twenty-two of the Local Legislation Act, 1946, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare that the Board of the Western Waiheke Road District, which at present consists of seven members, shall consist of nine members; such increase to take effect for the purposes of the general election of members to be held in the month of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby prohibit any alienation of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Fixing the Dates and Places for Payment of Land-tax and Income-tax

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of October, 1947
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested in him under the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923, and the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and determine that the respective duties leviable under the said Acts by way of land-tax and income-tax shall be paid on the days and dates set forth hereunder:
Land-tax under section two of the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1947: In one sum on Wednesday, the twelfth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
Income-tax under section 3 of the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1947: In one sum on Wednesday, the eleventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the said duties of land-tax and income-tax shall be payable at any office of the Land and Income Tax Department or at any money-order post-office, and that notice to the foregoing effect shall be given by the said Commissioner accordingly.

Fixing the Date and Places for Payment of Social Security Charge and National Security Tax payable by Companies

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of October, 1947

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested in him under the Social Security Act, 1938, and the Social Security Contribution (Companies) Regulations 1943, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and determine that the social security charge payable by any company on its chargeable income for the income year ended on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, shall be paid in one sum on Tuesday, the third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority as aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the said social security charge shall be payable at any office of the Land and Income Tax Department or at any money-order post-office, and that notice to the aforegoing effect shall be given by the said Commissioner accordingly.

Notice of Intention to issue an Order in Council revoking the Reservation over a Reserve in the City of Wanganui, Wellington Land District

WHEREAS by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that the Governor-General may, from time to time, by Order in Council, revoke the reservation over any public reserve or part thereof, and thereupon the land comprised therein shall, if vested in the Crown or in any local authority or trustees deriving title from the Crown, become Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924, and in any other case may, subject to the provisions of subsection five of the said section seven of the said Act, be disposed of in such manner and for such purposes as may be stated in such Order in Council: And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for the purposes of a children's playground, and is vested, in trust, in the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wanganui: And whereas the reserve is not required for the purposes for which it is set aside, and it is expedient that the reservation over the said land be revoked: And whereas the said body corporate has passed a resolution consenting to such revocation, and has in all respects complied with the provisions of subsections three and four of the said section seven of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice, pursuant to subsection two of section seven of the said Act, that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of subsection one (b) of the said section seven revoking the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and declaring that the said land may be disposed of by the said body corporate by way of sale by public auction or private contract at such price and on such terms and conditions as the said body corporate shall determine, but so that the proceeds of any such sale shall be used and applied in or towards the purchase of other land for recreation purposes.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the City of Wanganui, containing by admeasurement 16ยท07 perches, more or less, being Lot 29 on a plan numbered 2460, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, and being part of Section 63, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 506, folio 174 (Wellington Registry).
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 17th day of October, 1947.

Declaring Crown Land in the Gisborne Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the said land) is Crown land not acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, but is adjacent to certain land acquired under the said Act, and known as the Ngatapa Settlement, and can conveniently be disposed of therewith:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Land Settlement Board, and after considering the report of the Gisborne District Land Board, do hereby declare the said land to be subject to the said Act, to the intent that it shall hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said Ngatapa Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing 5 acres 2 roods 32 perches, being Lot 14, D.P. 2114, being part Section 86, Block III, Patutahi Survey District, and being all the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 55, folio 251 (Gisborne Registry).
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of October, 1947.
