IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, Frederick Hackett, acting for the Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the person named hereunder to be an Honorary Fishery Officer for the purposes of Part I of the Fisheries Act, 1908, to hold office until the 31st day of March, 1950.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Maize Marketing Emergency Regulations 1944, I hereby revoke the appointment of Ross Papprill Fraser as a member of the Maize Marketing Committee and appoint in his stead Reginald George Crush Fitch.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the City of Christchurch for an Automatic Telephone Exchange

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of an automatic telephone exchange—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Papanui and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

Approximate area of the piece of land required to be taken: 28.7 perches.
Being Lot 2, D.P. 8444, being part of Rural Section 135.
Situated in Block XI, Christchurch Survey District (City of Christchurch) (Canterbury L.D.).

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126043, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

The Levin Milk Delivery Notice 1943, Amendment No. 3

PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Levin Milk Delivery Notice 1943, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Levin Milk Delivery Notice 1943† (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

  2. Clause (6) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “L. P. Griffith” in relation to Zone 2, and substituting the words “G. R. Murphy.”

The Gisborne Milk Delivery Scheme 1942, Amendment No. 4

PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Gisborne Milk Delivery Scheme 1942, Amendment No. 4, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Gisborne Milk Delivery Scheme 1942† (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

  2. Clause (8) of the principal scheme is hereby amended as follows:—

(a) By revoking, in relation to Zone No. 15, the words “J. A. McCallum: In Ormond, Makaraka, Awapuni, and Roberts Roads, Nos. 1–64 Salisbury Road, No. 105 to end of Stanley Road, Lyndhurst Street, Nos. 488 to end of Childers Road (with the exception of Nos. 491 and 501), Andrew, Haldane, and Redmond Streets, Chalmers Road, Pates, Parker, Queen, Waverley, McDonald, and Haig Streets, Nos. 285 and 287 and Gray and Kiosk in Grey Street, Foster and Collins Streets, Jackson’s, Gladstone Road, School Road, and from Barker’s to end of Lytton Road,” and substituting “C. E. Tarry: In Awapuni and Roberts Roads, Nos. 1–84 Salisbury Road, No. 105 to end of Stanley Road, Lyndhurst Street, Nos. 285 to 287 and Gray and Kiosk in Grey Street, the Beach Tea-rooms, and No. 501 Childers Road.”

(b) By revoking, in relation to Zone No. 22, the words “J. A. McCallum: Nos. 65 to 84 Salisbury Road,” and substituting the words “B. N. C. Lowe: In Ormond, Makaraka, Nos. 488 to end of Childers Road (with the exception of Nos. 491 and 501), Andrew, Haldane, and Redmond Streets, Chalmers Road, Pates, Parker, Queen, Waverley, McDonald, Haig, Foster, Collins, Kent, Scott, Birrell, and Cochrane Streets, School Road, from Barker’s to end of Lytton Road, and the Transit Camp.”

(c) By revoking, in relation to Zone No. 4, the words “Hygienic Milk Supplies, Ltd.: Nos. 305–399 Stout Street (with the exception of No. 387), Nos. 1–11 Ballance Street, Wi Pere Street, Nos. 303–512 Ormond Road, Nos. 303–406 Clifford Street (with the exception of Nos. 360, 362, and 364), Mangapapa Road,” and substituting “H. Hamblyn: Nos. 305–399 Stout Street (with the exception of No. 387), Nos. 1–11 Ballance Street, Wi Pere Street, Nos. 303–512 Ormond Road, Nos. 303–406 Clifford Street (with the exception of Nos. 360, 362, and 364), Mangapapa Road (with the exception of No. 8), Jellicoe Street, Oswald Road, Rua, Perry, and Kennedy Streets.”

(d) By adding, in relation to the description of Zone 18, the words “Wholesale deliveries to Rostrevor and Chelsea Hospitals and Carnarvon and Gisborne Dairies.”

  1. This notice may be cited as the Hamilton Milk Delivery Notice 1946, Amendment No. 9, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Hamilton Milk Delivery Notice 1946† (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

  2. Clause (7) of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking the words “L. Bowler, 38 River Road, Hamilton,” in relation to Zone 20, and substituting the words “C. J. Dowdall, 38 River Road, Hamilton.”
