NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME
RAE CONSTANCE RITCHIE, of Dunedin, in Otago, New
Zealand, Nurse, heretofore registered by the name of RAE
CONSTANCE McGILL, but called and known by the name of RAE
CONSTANCE RITCHIE, hereby give notice that on the 12th day of
August, 1947, I renounced and abandoned the use of my said surname of McGill, and assumed in lieu thereof the surname of
RITCHIE; and, further, that such change of name is evidenced
by a deed dated the 12th day of August, 1947, duly executed by
me and attested and enrolled in the office of the Registrar of the
Supreme Court of New Zealand (Otago and Southland District)
at Dunedin on the 13th day of August, 1947, under No. M. 6/337.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Bridges Loan, 1939, £20,000 : Instalment of £5,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Waipawa County Council hereby
resolves as follows :-
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000), being part
of a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000), authorized to be
raised by the Waipawa County Council for the purpose of erecting
certain new bridges, replacing old worn-out bridges, and widening
and repairing certain bridges, also providing the necessary plant
and machinery for carrying out the said works, the said Waipawa
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen
hundredths (19/100ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the County of Waipawa ; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall
be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each year and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.
"And it is further resolved that the said rate so made and
levied as is herein above provided shall be a confirmation of rates
for the same amount and for the same or similar purposes made
and levied by the said Council on the 11th day of March, 1940,
and the 13th day of November, 1944."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a
resolution passed at a meeting of the Waipawa County Council
held on Monday, llth August, 1947.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921-22, and the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling it in that behalf, the Masterton Borough Council hereby
resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000), authorized
to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the abovementioned Acts, for the purpose of restoring and strengthening
the Municipal Buildings damaged by earthquake and effecting
improvements thereto, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one farthing
(1¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Masterton;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly in the month of August
in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

by the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921-22, and the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling it in that behalf, the Masterton Borough Council hereby
resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000), authorized
to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the abovementioned Acts, for the purpose of completing the restoring and
strengthening the Municipal Buildings damaged by earthquake
and effecting improvements thereto, the said Masterton Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny
(½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Masterton;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly in the month of
August in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully
paid off."

MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH LOANS CONVERSION ORDER, 1934

IN pursuance of section 16 of the Mount Eden Borough Loans
Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), and the terms under which
securities authorized by the said Order were issued, the Mount
Eden Borough Council at a meeting held on the 23rd day of June,
1947, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities
in respect of all debentures maturing on the 1st day of April, 1953,
of the Mount Eden Borough Conversion Loan, 1934 (No. 1), and
public notice is accordingly hereby given of the Mount Eden Borough
Council's intention to redeem such debentures of the said loan on
the 1st day of April, 1948, and interest thereon will cease on the
said day, viz. :-
Debentures Nos. 2139-2358 (inclusive) maturing on the 1st
April, 1953.
