BANKS PENINSULA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Workers' Dwellings Loan, 1947, £600
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board, a corporate body duly incorporated under the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Board's Workers' Dwellings Loan, 1947, £600, authorized to be raised by the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring land and erecting dwellings thereon within the Banks Peninsula Electric-power District, the said Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one three-hundredths of a penny (l/300d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Banks Peninsula Electric-power District, comprising the Borough of Akaroa, the counties of Wairewa, Akaroa, and Mount Herbert, and the Diamond Harbour Settlement in the Borough of Lyttelton; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off."
Dated at Little River, this 12th day of August, 1947.
