Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Hawera and Patea Fire Boards

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth appoint Tuesday, the 2nd September, 1947, to be the date for holding the election of one member of each of the Hawera and Patea Fire Boards by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancies caused by the resignation of Mr. R. H. Layton from each of the said Boards.

Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
In terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

In pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed the said Act), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officers, at the addresses set against their names, are hereby appointed transmitting and receiving officers for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid:-

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.-Notice of Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 3rd day of March, 1948, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 30th day of September, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Block XIV, Maungakawa Survey District, containing by admeasurement six hundred and eighty-four (684) acres three (3) roods twenty-five (25) perches, more or less, being part of Kiwitahi No. 3c Block, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 97, folio 3 (Auckland Registry).

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.-Notice of Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 27th day of February, 1948, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 30th day of September, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situate in Block V, Kairanga Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and three (103) acres three (3) roods six decimal two (6.2) perches, more or less, being part of Rural Section 346, Township of Carnarvon, and being also Lots 2, 3, and 4 on Deposited Plan No. 6360, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 488, folio 225 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that area situate in Blocks I and V, Kairanga Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-nine (59) acres eleven (11) perches, more or less, being part of Rural Section 346, Township of Carnarvon, and being also Lot 7 on Deposited Plan No. 1417, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 310, folio 239 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that area situate in Blocks I and V, Kairanga Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-nine (59) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being part of Rural Section 346, Township of Carnarvon, and being also Lot 8 on Deposited Plan No. 1417, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 137, folio 136 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that area situate in Block V, Kairanga Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and thirty-five (135) acres three (3) roods twenty-seven (27) perches, more or less, being part of Rural Section 346, Township of Carnarvon, and being also Lots 10 and 11 on Deposited Plan No. 1417, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 138, folio 195 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that area situate in Block V, Kairanga Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-six (56) acres, more or less, being part of Rural Section 346, Township of Carnarvon, and being also Lot 9 on Deposited Plan No. 1417, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 143, folio 181 (Wellington Registry).
